😎 😍🤠
I opened my post office box today and found a surprise inside. Months ago Pete ( Angry Waiter Angry Waiter ) had shown me some slabs of buckeye burl he had ordered with plans to have a lambsfoot big'un rehandled by our friend and artisan @glennbad. It is without a doubt one of the most beautiful woods I have ever seen. Pete shouldn't have given it to me but he did and I am humbled by his generosity. Thank you so much my friend. It was too much to gift someone... but I am thrilled to have it.

Congrats on that striking lamb, Dwight and kudos to Pete!!!!

Thank you !

Glad to hear that it's starting to get worked in 👍

Learning skills ! 👍

Thanks buddy !
Thanks Steve, teaching the boys some skills is a win-win for me 😀!

Thanks buddy, I have certainly had no luck :( My last dentist was a young lady from Malaysia, a lovely girl, but based on her work, I have to question her skills, and also her commitment to dentistry. She was from a rich family, but being a dentist or doctor is a golden ticket here. She recently got married, big lavish wedding, and almost immediately packed in the job. I asked if she was moving to a different practice, but she said that her and her husband were just going to travel the world for a couple of years. I saw her on her last day at work, she just stuck one crown back in, without doing any other prep work. A crown, which she had fitted, which had been in and out 4-5 times, had come out again, but she said she thought the tooth (with gaping cavity) would be OK without a crown. She may have gone, but for what it's worth, I'll be making a complaint to the British Dental Association, because I don't think she's fit to practice

We all need a little Waboom Bob! :D With another wet, cold day here, I'm certainly grateful for mine! :)

Yeah, I think I might go to Poland or Turkey, and get my teeth fixed there! Thanks mate

Beautiful

Nice work David :) The firm were H.M. Slater, they used 'Venture' in the same way George Wostenholm used 'IXL'

Meat and potatoes ;)

That sounds like a good plan Bill, hope you have a nice day :)

Thanks buddy, I might have to turn to a liquid diet!

Butler always did things a little different! First rate knife Steve, you got a special one there

Nice that you can do that Jon :) Handsome photo there, you remind me I've got a Lambsfoot that needs some work doing, so that I can open it!

I hope everyone is having a good day :) I've had a busy one. I'm just back for an hour, and then I have to go out again. I'm absolutely worn out! Catch up with you again tomorrow Guardians

Seems a LONG time ago! 😭

Hello Jack,
I had a similar problem but with a bridge earlier this year. Look for a product "Micron Superior 2" on Amazon, it should be about 25 quid.
I decided to have my bridge taken out earlier this year out do to other issues it was causing and despite it keep falling out decided to wait for my appointment, at the last "fall out" i found that product and as the appointment was only two weeks away mixed a batch up and stuck it it in, mine was peg type so mixed up a double batch which was still only tiny amount. The two weeks passed trouble free and at the appointed hour turned up for the dentist.

It took him 45 minutes to get it out, despite it falling out many times previously. He said if he had known it was in that good he would not have tried to take it out. He also commented that he wished his staff glued them up that well. We laughed about it in the end, but he said it was the best glue up he had ever seen.

A good dentist is worth their weight in gold. But like gold are hard to find.
Too right mate, I used to go over to Sheffield, before my last decent dentist retired. I had the guy since I was in my 20's
Keep this pace up Jack and it's back to the island for you.
Your dentist reminds me of my one and only experience with an Army dentist.😱
LOL! :D Army dentist doesn't sound good Bob!
Beautiful photo Dwight, and what a great-looking knife
This hospital has some surprisingly good food. Their coffee is awful. 🤠 View attachment 2439511
I'm glad to hear there's a chance of you getting discharged for New Year David 🤞That food looks a heck of a lot better than anything you'd find in a British hospital  I'm glad you have your Lambsfoot there with you my friend :)
A very good end of the year for all the lambsfoot lovers :)

What a fabulous gift :) Well done Angry Waiter Angry Waiter
Looking good Mitch :)
Took the family out for some 🍕. Cowboys are playing today so I thought I would score some sorry points for my upcoming brain bleed and constant swearing. Calamity in the pocket.

Calamity is a beauty Paul :) I'm sure the pizza went down well
Thats nice to know. Thanks for that info Jack!
As you know, David, their factory was called Venture Works, though they moved from this building a long time ago. They were actually one of the last Sheffield firms to throw in the towel, and in fact their crude website can still be found online! :D A shame they are no more :(

Thanks for the tip mate, that sounds like good stuff  I hadn't had a crown come out in years until recently. When I first rang about the first one, I was surprised when I was advised to buy some dental cement. I stuck the crown back in, and when I went to the dentist, a couple of weeks later, she said that I had done such a good job, she was going to leave it (it came out a week or so later). I now impart that to her laziness, rather than any skill on my part! Strangely, the tooth seems to be hurting a bit LESS today, though that could be because I haven't eaten much 🤷‍♂️ Of course, they're closed on New Year's Day, so it's going to be Tuesday before I can get in, at the earliest 😒

Good morning Guardians, wishing everyone a very Happy New Year, and I hope you have some fun seeing it in. They do like fireworks where I live, but I'll be keeping out of the way ;) I thought my KOTY would be a good choice for seeing out 2023. As always, I hope it's a better one

It's really sad to know what happened to Sheffield. A shame indeed. That old web site is intersecting to look through.

Sorry to hear about your continued dental fiasco (probably a better word for the situation but not family friendly). Good looking Albers, hope the new year is better to you.
