Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Happy New Years Eve guardians!

I'm late posting this (there never seem to be enough hours in the day lately), so I apologize.

I went back and forth over having the lambfoot that Jack Black Jack Black gifted me re-covered... But in the end, I just couldn't bring myself to have a gift knife modified. So instead, I had my desert ironwood Guardians knife recovered! The knife had some fairly plain desert ironwood, large gaps, and a pretty off-centered blade, so I thought it was a good candidate.

The original plan was to use some vintage, U.K. made tufnol that I pulled off a ship's block (pulley), but it ended up being a bit too thin. So instead, we used some vintage, U.K. made Tufnol from the aircraft industry. The patina isn't as heavy, but it's a lovely material. :D

The work was done by the very talented David, who goes by Slipjoint_spa on instagram. One of the best parts about dealing materials is the wonderfully skilled makers you meet. It wasn't possible to completely fix some of the fit issues, but they have been greatly improved. I'm extremely pleased with how it turned out. :D

I really like that. Makes me think of Westinghouse Micarta. Very rich butterscotch. 👍

Jack, I do hope you find relief soon. May the new year improve upon this last one for you.
Thanks you very much Bob, I feel very lucky to have a bunch of great friends, and a cool place to hang out 😊👍
Happy New Year to all The Guardians!
Hope it's a good one, for all of us, Rachel 🙂👍
Good afternoon Guardians !

The last day of the year and it's finally looking like winter around here. We got about an inch or so of snow overnight buty the ice is still dangerously thin. Not good for all the ice fisherman.

I'm carrying Gidget today 👍

Nice thing to do on NYE Joe 🙂 Cool pic 😎👍

Too right mate, I used to go over to Sheffield, before my last decent dentist retired. I had the guy since I was in my 20's

LOL! :D Army dentist doesn't sound good Bob!

Beautiful photo Dwight, and what a great-looking knife

I'm glad to hear there's a chance of you getting discharged for New Year David 🤞That food looks a heck of a lot better than anything you'd find in a British hospital  I'm glad you have your Lambsfoot there with you my friend :)

That looks very tasty J-M, have a good one my friend :)

Thanks buddy, I had a pleasant evening, but a late one :) I even did an hour or so, catching up with internet stuff when I got in :D

Thanks a lot Steve, a stylish rescue :)

What a fabulous gift :) Well done Angry Waiter Angry Waiter

Looking good Mitch :)

Calamity is a beauty Paul :) I'm sure the pizza went down well

As you know, David, their factory was called Venture Works, though they moved from this building a long time ago. They were actually one of the last Sheffield firms to throw in the towel, and in fact their crude website can still be found online! :D A shame they are no more :(

Thank you Jon :)

Happy New Year Mitch :)

I'll be having a quiet one myself, hopefully. Going to try and use the next couple of days to get my vacation photos edited, and get my house back in order :D

Thanks for the tip mate, that sounds like good stuff  I hadn't had a crown come out in years until recently. When I first rang about the first one, I was surprised when I was advised to buy some dental cement. I stuck the crown back in, and when I went to the dentist, a couple of weeks later, she said that I had done such a good job, she was going to leave it (it came out a week or so later). I now impart that to her laziness, rather than any skill on my part! Strangely, the tooth seems to be hurting a bit LESS today, though that could be because I haven't eaten much 🤷‍♂️ Of course, they're closed on New Year's Day, so it's going to be Tuesday before I can get in, at the earliest 😒

Good morning Guardians, wishing everyone a very Happy New Year, and I hope you have some fun seeing it in. They do like fireworks where I live, but I'll be keeping out of the way ;) I thought my KOTY would be a good choice for seeing out 2023. As always, I hope it's a better one

Feel better mate, nothing wrong with a quiet 1, we ended up watching the blues brothers to see us through To midnight 😳😁
Happy New Year to you and yours Leon!

Thanks fellows. :)

That's a sweet hat Mitch.

Thank you gents.

Happy New Year Mitch!

Thank you my friend. Koty is looking smart today. I hope you can get some relief soon on that tooth.

Thank you brother. 👍

Thanks Dwight have a great New Year.
I didn't mention The cap is the logo for Stashouse a local skate, street brand have shops around New South Wales. This cap is made in collaboration with 47 Brand.
That New lamb of yours is so cool😎

We still have four hours to go here and this is going to be the first contender for 2024 KOTY. I like the pile side better, there are more brown groovy lines. 🤪

Happy New Year Everyone!

I'm just hanging at home with Nat and Sofie the dog. We have some kielbasa and kraut for good luck and New Years Pretzel that Nat makes her own way. Good stuff.

Hope everyone is happy and healthy!

Well…..I am a full Apple convert. Never thought I would like a wrist computer but I love this thing. My wife gifted it to me for Christmas and now I don’t know how I resisted for so long. Like I told Pete….Skynet is taking over 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Enjoying New Years Eve with the family. It also happens to be my oldest son’s Birthday. Took him to see Ferrari at the theater. What a cool movie about a very interesting man. Took him to eat at the Japanese grill after. I am a sucker for some hibachi!!!!

Now we are just sitting around and enjoying each other’s company until the ball drop. Wife picked out some pink moscato champagne for the toast. Never had it but I despise Champagne so hopefully it is better😂😂.

It has been a great year and have enjoyed the camaraderie everyone. Looking forward to building upon established friendships and welcoming new ones. Happy New Years, Guardians.

‘19 will be ringing in the new year with me.
