Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Great to see you here Mike, how you getting on with the Big 'Un? Looking forward to seeing your other treasure :)

Thanks a lot Jody, the old remedies are usually the best, but nothing seems to be able to shift this cough so far :( I suffer with both asthma and acide reflux, and they think it might bge related to either of those, or possibly some sort of allergy

Thank you Dwight, after fourteen months, I sure am sick of it! I appreciate your kind words my friend :) That's another excellent pic

Thanks pal, it was a bit of a disaster for one reason and another, and I only saw @ADEE briefly :(

Outstanding post there Greg :)

Thanks Ron, nice Choice ;)

Actually it IS a rough part of town that! :D A few of the grown-ups commented about the 'knucks' at the time! :D Thank you my friend, I appreciate that :)
The Big ‘Un and I are getting on just fine, Jack! It’s the perfect size for the blade shape, in my humble opinion. I also find the rosewood on this particular one to be quite interesting.

That’s the best one right there.
These Ashley's Choice are surely fine cutlery. :)

That's an incredible pic Dwight, you are a very talented photographer my friend
Thank you Jack. That's high praise but truthfully, I just take a bunch of photos so the law of averages is on my side. :)

That pic should be in a calendar.
Thank you Vince! A knife calendar would be cool.

I carry a Lambsfoot because I can
Harry that is a salty old veteran lambsfoot and a beauty.

..because I need to open this TV dinner that's all the wife left me for supper.
:D

I carry a lambsfoot...

... because bananas don’t come in halves. :)

How ‘bout you?
Greg, your lambsfoot advertising campaign has really taken off; I knew you were the man to put in charge of publicity! :D:thumbsup::cool:

I'll try my hand at the "formula", but I may not be very good at this.

Thanks GT. I’m glad folks are having fun running with it. :) You did great. :)

OK. Last one for me. I carry a lambsfoot...

oYKe6Nwh.jpg

... because I have a use for it nearly every day. Like trimming this piece of plastic that broke at the collar and was no longer useful being attached to the lid of my water bottle.

Thanks for playing along, folks. It’s important to underscore the versatility and utility of the pattern from time to time lest anyone think they’re just pretty knives. :D

Nice run Greg!:thumbsup: That's what I tell the wife Quote: "It’s important to underscore the versatility and utility of the pattern from time to time lest anyone think they’re just pretty wives".:p:p

Lambsfoot knives are pretty? o_O

What I'm about to say might get me run out of these parts, but I don't think the lambsfoot knife is all that pretty, at least not compared to its curvy relative the wharncliffe.

Hey, Dave. The pile side has a bit more dark than golden but still just as lovely, imho.

...
That golden glow down at the butt end makes me want to yell, "It's ALIVE!":D:thumbsup:

I like the golden, when I first received mine, I was disappointed wanting a black horn, but that changed. I like that it's golden, as you and I know we have black knives from here to eternity. :p

I like the reddish radiance of that horn, too, Dave!:cool::thumbsup:

...
I like those pics GT, your Cracker Jack is looking good :) Hope the soft tires aren't down to all that cutlery my friend
...
My week is starting with a trip to the hospital to see a specialist about the heavy cough I've had for 14 months now, hoping he can help me get rid of it! Have a good week folks

Marilyn seemed an appropriate choice to accompany me today ;)

T4uGJNG.jpg
Thanks, Jack; all of the ACs seem incredibly photogenic! :)
I hope you can lose the cough soon!:( Skeletal and muscular things I'm willing to accept as permanent "diseases" I just have to learn to live with, but I'd be very reluctant to accept a deep cough as something that will be with me from now until death do us part!
Marilyn is a bombshell! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:;)

...
The blond horn was just a passing thought. As to the practicalities, logistics, and pitfalls of actually having them made, I trust your judgement..

Here's wood, horn, and antler. Bone would be nice...;)

I'm with Rachel on trusting Jack to know what are feasible decisions to make about future Guardians knives.:)
Rachel, that's an outstanding pic of lambsfoot variety!!:thumbsup::cool:

It’s been awhile! Have a great Monday! :)

Heavenly horn, Ron! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Thanks for all the great comments, Gary! Cracker Jack is standing proud.:thumbsup::D
Thanks, Dave. :)

A pleasure my friend, I'm afraid that this is the only pic I got of one of the copters

It's an old London thing GT, be considered a bit Flash Harry up north! ;) :D
As would my new braces no doubt - if they were to peek out from under my weskit (took this one for you)! :D

Thanks pal, excellent AC pics :)
Yikes, that chopper rising above the house tops is rather ominous!
Thanks for the fashion show, Jack! ;):cool: My suspenders function well, but I don't think I could pull off the skull & crossbones motif like the dread pirate Black can!

Congratulations you have 30,000 posts :thumbsup::thumbsup::D
Thanks for noticing that , Dave!:thumbsup:
Woo Hoo!! That's an impressive benchmark! Congrats on the 30K posts, Jack!:cool::cool::thumbsup:

What do you prefer, Jack, the pirate suspenders or the Santa belt?? :D:thumbsup:
(Anyone else reminded of the film Village of the Damned by Jack's photo??)

...Thought I'd carry my Ashley's Choice, as they've not seen it yet

The stag on these knives looks so at home in all the outdoors shots!:cool::thumbsup:

Hey Guardians, it’s been a while since I’ve posted, and I’ve done a poor job of keeping up in general, but wanted to show the funky rosewood on this Big ‘Un, and promise to show off some older lambsfoot I’ve picked up before too long.
View attachment 1015536
That's rosewood, eh, Mike? Very striking!!:cool::thumbsup: Look forward to seeing your older one.

...
Thanks GT. You have posted some grand pics of Cracker Jack especially the one in the yellow leaves. Just gorgeous.

Thanks for the pic praise, Dwight. :) Your shot of your ebony lambsfoot is another in your series of fantastic fungal fotos!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

..
What kind of shoddy kitchen are you running over there, GT? ;) :D

That's the first time I've ever trimmed a waffle. I was about to put them into a bag to freeze them and they didn't fit with the extra bits that had pressed outside the waffle iron. Fortunately, they fit when squared up.
I'm obviously not running the kind of restaurant-quality waffle-trimming operation you are, Greg!!!:rolleyes::D

Hope you get that cough taken care Jack! I’m Totin my Ashley’s Choice today. :)

Thanks for the affirmation, Greg. ;)

My lambsfoot for this week is my 2017 Guardians buffalo horn lambsfoot that I call my Lam Jack.

To each his own. Love the wharncliff, but the lambsfoot has bewitched me! I find it mesmerizing.

You have no idea how much I want that knife. Fluted bolsters, all-steel construction, hammered pins — I wish there were still knives made that way. I’d much rather find a knife like yours than any GEC.
Thank you very much for the kind remarks Sir .:):) I wish you all the Luck In The World of finding a knife like mine but you can not have mine yet . If I see another one , I will let you know .

Harry

I like the reddish radiance of that horn, too, Dave!:cool::thumbsup:
Thank you, my friend, it's nice that they are not all the same. It makes them more personable, and not a cookie cutter knife.
I'm with Rachel on trusting Jack to know what are feasible decisions to make about future Guardians knives.:)
Rachel, that's an outstanding pic of lambsfoot variety!!:thumbsup::cool:
I'm with you Rachel, Gary and Vince I am sure there are many others Jack knows what he's doing.:thumbsup:

I think that I have many knives that IMHO are prettier than my Old TEW Lambsfoot but I much prefer to use it than most of them . Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder .
