The covers are striking on that lamb, BobFortunately, the Midwest snow is hitting 50+° weather here. So heavy rain and wind, but no shoveling.View attachment 2455568
Awesome picture, Dwight.
Albers is looking great, Pete.
perhaps even going so far as to file off a few slivers of metal to aid in the deceptionA few nice Sheepsfoot blades have, sadly, been ruined as a result

You are tougher man than me, Steve. I have been outside for 45 seconds today. The time it takes me to get to the mailbox and back.Didn't stop me from getting the bonus pic of the day![]()
Thank you, Dwight. One of my favorites. That green lamb is a most handsome piece of cutlery.
Thanks Paul. The covers are striking on that lamb, Bob
You're a snow veteran JerThanks. The magic is still coming down.
I was going to go out and clear it again, but once a day will have to do. It's supposed to keep snowing all week and I need to pace myself.
The winter storm warning has been extended till tomorrow noon, so maybe church will be cancelled! I'll walk over in my snowmobile suit if it isn't. Got my poles all picked out.
I'll bet I could make some snowshoes out of pvc pipe and old fashioned lawn chair webbing!

LOL!You had an interesting day, you hipster who knew
Way of the world pushing towards cahslesswhat annoys me is the charges attached.
Cash will be a bit longer, last year 1 of the major telcos went down for the day, chaos ensured, businesses couldn't use their tills or eftpos systems people had to use cash.
1 poor barber made the news because he had to close because he had no phone or till. Seriously a barber? I know I haven't had hair for a long time ButThey thrive on walk ins and cash!
Superb Steve, well doneCassie and I just got back from braving the cold again. Wind chill was brutal. They have a windchill adversary for -35-40° for overnight
Didn't stop me from getting the bonus pic of the day

Smart moveHappy to report the snow has subsided and gone. The storm has left an ungodly chill in the air though. I will go ahead and keep my butt indoors. Watching some playoff football. Green lamb in the pocket today.

Anyone who does not accept my cash, which by the way is still legal tender, see me walk out the door for the last time. I existed before all these places did and i shall continue to exist without them.
I remember it DwightThanks pal.
One of the most beautiful slip joints I've ever seen was a custom Todd Davison had for sale as a "lambsfoot". It wasn't ... but I so wanted it to be.I think I even pm'ed you about it Jack.
Very handsome my friend
So true, they can't even do the most basic addition/subtraction! How is that even possible?!And that is one of the most frightening things, these upwardly mobile young things go through their whole education without basic Arithmetic skills.
Thanks Jack sounds like you had a great day minus the booster cashless pukes.A handsome Albers Lamb Pete![]()
Nice capture Dwight. Gorgeous knife.
Thanks Paul. Sending prayers for the Texan in the North. Cool green bone bad boyAlbers is looking great, Pete.
Thank you Steve, glad you got out for a walk even with the cold weather.Nice Albers !

Really enjoying the pics of this knife Mitch, senator?Snakewood & buckle.
Yesterday I got out 1 of my prized possessions for another thread.
Years ago I used to do leather craft for people and kept it legitimate. Well any way 1 Christmas Kristy had this buckle made by Silversmith Mike Pardue out of Texas.
I've only worn it a couple of times just covered in wax. I've been thinking I should just use it? I reckon you blokes will say use it!
It's still pretty cool and goes with Snakewood

The trick is to get them to shovel and think it’s fun.
You are tougher man than me, Steve. I have been outside for 45 seconds today. The time it takes me to get to the mailbox and back.
The problem I’ve found is when they’re young enough to still want to help, they’re rubbish at it, and when they’re old enough to do the job, they don’t want to.Scout was “helping” me shovel a bit of snow we got the other day, and I’d have been better off if she hadn’t.
At one point I turned around and she was shoveling snow from the yard back into the driveway!
You know me too wellMust’ve been expecting a new knife.![]()
Reckon you know us well Mitch!Snakewood & buckle.

Unbelievable isn't it?!And what a rapid decline. I'm the eldest of 6, and my youngest sisters are a world apart from me.
Everyone is reliant on technology to think for them and with rubbish like tiktok and such have developed the attention span of a goldfish.
We're currently working with an advertising company to promote myself and another young agronomist. The marketing team we're using said our radio and video ads can't go beyond 20-30 seconds because people won't pay attention to anything longer than that anymore and will turn it off!
Been there! The problem I’ve found is when they’re young enough to still want to help, they’re rubbish at it, and when they’re old enough to do the job, they don’t want to.Scout was “helping” me shovel a bit of snow we got the other day, and I’d have been better off if she hadn’t.
