Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Friday afternoon off, always a good idea! :D ;)
Totally agree Jack. It was a nice relaxing afternoon as a box of my favorite cigars showed up in the mail a day early. 😄👍
Good morning Guardians, I better go and get scrubbed and shaved, as time is rapidly marching on! :D I'm meeting my mate Matt in Charlie's, and then later, we're meeting up with Wolfie's brother, who we call Brother Tony, for a couple of pints. Hopefully I'll get to hear more tales about his errant 'Father in Law'! 🤣 Have a great weekend everyone

Nice looking Rodgers Jack. Sounds like you have a nice afternoon planned. 😎👍
Fortunately, the Midwest snow is hitting 50+° weather here. So heavy rain and wind, but no shoveling.View attachment 2455568
Great looking Kroo Bob. Are you guys expecting the blast of frigid air in your parts? We are getting it now. 🥶

Hi Todd, we are actually warming up. Temps are heading into mid 50's with 25 mph winds. So minor flooding is expected.
Glad to hear you are having a slightly extended weekend.👌

Have a good evening, night, morning, day Guardians.

If I'm following the definitional discussion correctly, we're saying that to be a Lambsfoot (and eligible for posting in this thread) the knife has to have been identified by its maker as a lambsfoot.

This doesn't seem quite right to me, and I've got two hypotheticals that highlight my concerns.

1) imagine Böker, infamous for calling everything a Barlow, deciding to call a sheepsfoot knife a lambsfoot. They even stamp "real lamb foot" on the blade. I'm reasonably sure that we would all object to that being posted here - the maker's marketing would be insufficient to qualify as a true lambsfoot.

2) imagine Case creating a replica of an A. Wright lamb but marketing it to its American customers as a sheepsfoot. Would we really exclude that from consideration here because the marketing folks are confused? That would also seem incorrect to me.

I have seen numerous custom makers attempt the lambsfoot and call it a lambsfoot and clearly be a sheepsfoot. Sometimes it is difficult to tell.
