Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Sounds good. Were you tempted to stay and have 3 or 4 more? ๐Ÿ˜
Maybe if I'd been staying in Teguise! :D It's a beautiful town I'd like to return to
I figured the current conditions might help create an immersive reading experience.

Who am I kidding, Iโ€™ll be reading it all while sitting on a comfy couch with the heat cranked up, maybe with a mug of hot chocolate. ๐Ÿคฃ
๐Ÿคฃ ๐Ÿคฃ
Thanks, that Curly Katalox Albers has really been jockeying for top position in the rotation with the Afzelia Burl. Iโ€™ve got to remember to give all my other Lambsfoot knives some love, too!
It's very elegant Barrett :)
Todd did a great job on it. He turned some underwhelming A Wright Stag and turned it into something awe
It was an excellent idea Paul, and he did a great job
Fast lamb tonight

Lilly just finished the Peugoet today & brought it out to show us, still likes doing Lego.
Lego has come on a lot since I was a boy Mitch! Well done to Lilly :)

Good morning Guardians, I dreamt I was wandering the corridors of a vast, futuristic hotel, on New Year's Eve, trying to find the way back to my room, and my family, for midnight. Half the staff were drunk, and I encountered all sorts of other odd groups and characters, including a boxing entourage at one point. I woke up before I finally made it back o_O I'm not sleeping well at the moment, and then falling asleep during the day, which is not a good sleep cycle  I hope everyone else is doing OK, that you slept like a tot, and that your week is off to a good start :) Have a good day Guardians :)

The Death of the Ball Turret Gunner

By Randall Jarrell

When I died they washed me out with a hose.

The poem doesn't quite work for me. I think he should have fallen into the State's something, not just "the State". And I wish "the nightmare fighters" had been something more directly sensory. When I remember the poem, I remember the last line as "When I died, they washed me out of the turret with a hose", which I would prefer.
But I'm no poet and I know it well. (See how I rhymed that?)

Thanks Steve, it's just this past week or so really, though I suffer with sleep apnoea, and have had long periods of insomnia in the past, I can go for months sleeping like a log. Hoping I get back to that soon ;)

Yikes! ๐Ÿฅถ I hope you can keep warm Todd :) Beautiful covers on your Charlie Lamb :)
Good morning Guardians. Sunny and cold here in Southern Coastal NC (near Wilmington, NC). Still bathing in the afterglow of acquiring my newest addition.

Same here Bill, a sunny day, but with a bitingly cold wind ๐Ÿฅถ Glad you're enjoying your new Lamb :)

I called in at Charlie's on my way to town ;) Then picked up a treat to have with my afternoon cuppa ;)

Thanks Jack. Looks like a tasty treat you have there. ๐Ÿ‘

I canโ€™t even imagine dealing with the freezing temperatures out there. Itโ€™s was in the low 40โ€™s this morning here in Santa Cruz. I saw some folks going for an early morning dip. I was bundled up. I was made for temperate climes. I am not a snow person for sure. Stay warm.

Having not gone too crazy on Christmas Eve, I woke up bright and early on Christmas Day, and after breakfast, went for a stroll on the empty beach :)

While I'd seen the Papagayo beaches from afar, I had decided to reserve walking to them for Christmas Day, so after an early lunch, I set off. After my hotel there was just the 3 Papagayo beaches, and a very large area of wilderness. By going onto the roof of the hotel, I had already noted a series of rough paths, though another guest had told me she found them so confusing she had turned back. I had water, my hat, and a couple of energy bars, and wasn't too concerned.

Unfortunately, as I neared the first beach, the only one which is accessible to vehicles, and then by a circuitous dirt track, I could see that I wasn't the only one who had thought about going to the beach that day!

The other two beaches are much further to get to, but they are accessible to boats of course, and they too were busier than I had expected.

So, I decided not to bother, and returned a similar way to the way I'd come, arriving back at the hotel only an hour or so after leaving

I had a quiet afternoon, finishing off my book, and enjoying the view from my balcony :)
