Sharing a small swayback lamb made recently by Kerry Hampton. A less traditional take on the pattern, but a neat little knife nonetheless!

Good morning Guardians, I'm very disappointed with the weather here, as I've been looking forward to getting out. It's been raining all night again, and the forecast for the rest of the day isn't good. I'll have to say what my mate thinks. I never minded rain as a kid, but who knows? It certainly isn't going to be the best weather for slingshot shooting, and taking photos though Have a good day everyone

I hated rain as a kid. I hate rain now. Better than ice I suppose. Starting a little family garden this spring so maybe I will change my tune some. Stainless Albers is a perfect pocket knife for a wet day!!

Thanks, Barrett. Usually smoke a meerschaum but decided to take the Savinelli 616 out for a spin. Great pipe. Best thing about smoking a pipe I the winter is that the pipe acts like a pseudo handwarmer.

Always nice to come across a fellow pipe smoker.

I do enjoy a pipe, Dylan. Nothing better than a relaxing pipe at the end of a day. People think knives are hard to get. Try getting some of the promo tobacco .

hope everyone is having a good day The kids took a bit of motivating at first, but ended up enjoying the hike, even though the weather didn't improve. It was really muddy though. We had a good slingshot session, and Matt and Cillian are definitely getting better By the time we got to the pub for lunch it was 1.30pm, and we were hungry. It wasn't that busy, so when we asked for some lunch menus, we were surprised to be told the kitchen were running an hour behind. The pub do really good traditional (cooked in beef dripping) chips, so we thought it'd save time if we just ordered chips. They came 1 1/2 hours later, with the pub completely empty by that time. I really don't know what on earth was going on, I can only think that the people who run the pub are away on holiday or something. It didn't spoil the day though, and after getting home, I compensated with a good fry-up

Well, the other day I was plinking with my grandson and his rig was so abysmal I threw it in the trash and gave him my Occularis. So I had every excuse to order a replacement! I have inbound a Scout LT PRO. Yes I am a child in pretty much every way....

It was mate, they do some of the best chips I've ever had at that pub They did taste a little different today though, and I wondered if there had been some changes in the kitchen

LOL! Scout LT PRO looks like a great rig Dwight I was using my new Axiom Occularis PRO today, Matt had a Gamekeeper John design I gave him a few months back, Cillian was using a slingshot I made him a few years back, and he let his little sister use the Occularis I gave him last THe plinking went well, but while we were waiting in the pub, we played darts, and I couldn't understand why I had gotten so bad, but I don't think I've played for about 40 years!

Good news is that it is a wonderful day. Bad news is they are calling for ice and 4 inches of snow tonight . Relaxing and smoking a nice cigar. White lamb is handling the cigar clipping and what ever else I might need it for.

Yep of a weekend bunnngs hardware., let's community groups fund raise by having a sausage sizzle. So you can get a sausage sandwich with onoin for $3.50. All money goes to the group running it.

Sounds like a nice bonus to going to the hardware store.

This one was 11 lbs and took 7 hours to cook. I will have to say it was "fit to eat"!

The bigger the better! I love having lots of leftover pulled pork.

The first time I cooked one I really committed to “low and slow” and cooked it at 225° the whole way. Took absolutely forever. The next one I did at 275°, tasted just as good and didn’t take nearly as long.

I never really got into meerschaums, but they’re definitely interesting. I do have a few Missouri Meerschaums.
