Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Oh, I meant in terms of trying to get into the house Mitch, I've heard of its reputation - anywhere else, but Australia, and it'd be called something like the Deadly Brown Viper, or the Brown Killer Snake, but I know you don't go in for hyperbole ('For crying out loud, it's only a Salty!') 🤣

It's a good thing to do mate :) Thanks, I ended up having one in Charlie's after all, partly because I ended up having more time than I'd expect - because I forgot to have a shave! 🤣:thumbsup:

I was accosted by a toothless hag in the middle of town today, who asked me if I'd like a dance!  🤣

We got some good stuff in that first run buddy :)

My calendar is blank, which explains a lot!🤣

No, so many small businesses go under for reasons that are often readily apparent

Thank you very much Steve :)

I agree Todd, I know other businesses that have gone under for the exact same reason, failing to factor themselves into the equation, and also being too quick to hire, and hand onto, mediocre staff

Having called in for coffee at Charlie's anyway, but not wanting to eat there, I went into town, and had lunch at my favourite Thai place. I ended up with quite a few things to do in town, doing some shopping, going to both my banks, and then picking up my prescription. I've just back home :) Hope everyone's day is going well

😁oops I did crop a bit.
I don't know about cheeky
Just glad it can't open the window😧

Glad you got a coffee & good day.
dancing in the steet😳😆
great lamb.
Well, that makes our eastern diamondback rattlesnakes, coral snakes, and cottonmouths just seem quaint!

I've heard the Black Mamba and Fer-de-Lance aren't anything to sneeze at either!

As a teen, I was a junior member of the University of Miami's Herpetological Society and got to speak with Bill Haast on a number of occasions. Interesting cat, to say the least.

As a kid, my folks used to take me to his facility, the Miami Serpentarium, where he was known for doing live demonstrations with his 16-foot King Cobra. Later, at one of the herp society meetings, he admitted that when he and his wife were arguing, he'd let the cobra's strikes come extra close as he knew she'd be watching from the kitchen window and would reconsider the importance of whatever the argument was about. Their home was on the property and he did the cobra show in what was basically his front yard.

They had a massive sculpture of a king cobra hovering over the entryway to the Serpentarium, and when the facility closed, the cobra sculpture was donated to, and installed on the roof of South Miami Senior High School - their mascot? The Cobras, naturally.

Mate that would of been very interesting for you.
That is 1 big statue!
We have a reptile park about an hour away. Milk snakes & spiders for antivenom.
But the most popular is ELVIS.

Amazing photo Steve  Well done :)

LOL! :D I just checked online, and it seems that 'cheeky' has quite different meanings in Britain and Australia (how about America?)! In Britain, it's a very light-hearted word, ie "showing a lack of respect or politeness in a way that is amusing or appealing." But in Australia, according to what I'm reading, it means "aggressive or potentially dangerous." I imagine Elvis gets called "a bit cheeky"! :D Maybe  ;)

Thank you Jack. 😎👍
Spooky. One has considerable motivation to become more observant.

Thanks pal!

So... you pull their teeth and then have a dance... :D😁

Looks like fun Todd! What is it they say? ..."Break a leg!" ;)
That thought crossed my mind a few times today Dwight. 🤣
Gorgeous! 😎👍

I used to read them, would swap them at the book exchange, along with other comics and books, like everything long gone now.

Lamb petting 😆😆
Elvis was a bad boy. When they take big bulls from the wild they use them for breeding stock, Elvis wouldn't he killed 3 females if I remember correctly.

Good morning Guardians. Going to do some light and easy skiing later this morning. Several years ago I took a picture of a non-lamb in this very window. I like the light, so I thought I’d take the same photo with my Albers. Have a great day everyone! 😎👍View attachment 2497477
Enjoy the slopes, Todd. That is a great spot for a picture !! Glad that lamb finds its way in your pocket often.

You are not kidding, Jack. Those are beautiful.

Love that lamb, Dwight.
Good morning Guardians. My wife is having her girl friends over in a little while for card games so I will be making a hasty retreat with my HHB.

I have perfected the retreat. Problem is that hen I retreat now……I have three kids hanging off of me 😂. Always love seeing your HHB, Bill.

I would take a few days too after the heartbreak of the other night 😉😂. Enjoy the mini vacation, Pete.
I gotta tell you Guardians I do not like bugs. Especially big ones. Bug sizes around here keep within my toleration zone. That’s a plus for me living in the Golden State. And forget about living where comatose iguanas fall from trees when the temperature dips low. Wow. Here no hidden gators lunging from puddles thankfully. Turkeys here are pretty friendly though. Have a good Friday and weekend.

Those turkeys wouldn’t be friendly if I was in the bushes in camo armed with my trusty bow😃. Always love your pictures and your awesome lambs, Kurt.
LOL! :D I took this pic just before Covid arrived, old girl was really going for it :D
😂😂. She looks like she can cut a rug, Jack.
Afternoon Guardians! Hope ya'al are having a fine Saturday. Cloudy and cold here today. Wind is blowing hard. Got my stampede string cinched down tight so my hat don't end up in Oklahoma.

Wonderful lamb, Steve.
Jb lamb today.
Heading out for lunch soon, Kristy's birthday tomorrow but she will be working, so picking up my parents & taking them out for lunch & tomorrow night go out for dinner with Kristy's family.

That lamb has been a trusty companion, Mitch.

Working nights has really messed with my sleep schedule. I’m awake when everyone else is sleeping 😒. Got to work out a system that works.

Had a nice day off. A little chillier but not bad. Son brought home a bunch of Valentines Day candy so I charged the usual Dad tax on the bag. He did not let me have it for free however. In exchange we drew Fortnite characters 😂😂. Maybe there is a knife trader in there somewhere 🤷.

Tomorrow we will be celebrating his 7th Birthday. A hectic day to say the least. Arcade, movies, and pizza are in store. I will be giving him one of my lambs as well!!!!

Carried Jack’s awesome HHB today. Hope everyone had a great day.

I don't usually hear "cheeky" used in the States, but when I do, I feel like it's used to describe somebody who's too "forward" or prone to making inappropriate advances. Other then that, I feel most people who use it follow it up with "monkey" referencing Mike Myers Saturday Night Live character "Simon."

"You cheeky monkeys...." 🤣

They weren't my first choice, but I liked the format, and the F-S on the front! :D
Lamb petting 😆😆
I'm not sure if they actually have that! 🤣

LOL! :D I'm glad I've learned about this, obviously English changes a bit as it travels, sometimes even between English towns, but I don't think 'cheeky' has ever come up before :D I quite like the Australian usage! :D
Another cool pic Mitch :)

Good morning Guardians, it's another dull and drizzly day here, where the sun has gone I don't know, I last saw it in Lanzarote! I have plenty to do over the next couple of hours, so I better get to it! Have a great day everyone

Crocuses are coming up in the garden, as well as my daffs :)
