I haven’t been very active this past week, and I don’t know how long it’s going to take me to catch up.
My father-in-law passed last week which started the week on a sad note. We are still dealing with it here, but like all losses it will take time.
And of course it just had to be a crazy week at work- just for good measure! But, we made it through to the other end of it, and looking for smooth sailing for a while!
Before that week started, Jakeywax31 Jakeywax31 and I did some horse trading. Paul made available to me a knife that I really didn’t think I would ever have the pleasure to own. The other knives will have to go on other threads 😃

Sorry to hear about your loss. We lost my wife’s uncle week before last and it’s a tough pill to swallow.

Sometimes they will use the name of their own town, more commonly they prefer the prestige of 'Sheffield' on the blade. Bretton is not a surname I have ever even heard in Sheffield, though of course, there only has to be one ;) Unusual form, does the paper label give anything away? The seller sure did hawk that knife around a bit! :D :thumbsup:

Thanks Jack! No the sticker is worn enough I haven't been able to make put anything that's printed on it.

It's an odd one David, I can't find out anything about it. The only thing that comes up is the seller's repeated listings, and absolutely nothing else :( Even as a place name, Bretton is obscure, and does not seem to have developed as a surname :thumbsup:
