Both Beauties ! 😍

Hope we don't need to raise bail money. Never know what them rabble-rousers down at the market been up to. 😁

Afternoon Guardians! Hope all is good with everyone. Bretton Lamb today. Tweedales book doesn't have anything on Bretton so don't know anything about it.

Interesting David. I've never heard of Bretton, but sometimes the name on a Sheffield knife is not the manufacturer, but rather a factor or hardware chain in another town or city. Sometimes they will use the name of their own town, more commonly they prefer the prestige of 'Sheffield' on the blade. Bretton is not a surname I have ever even heard in Sheffield, though of course, there only has to be one ;) Unusual form, does the paper label give anything away? The seller sure did hawk that knife around a bit! :D

Jack, having just read this conversation a day or two ago, I had to laugh when I was going through some knife drawers this afternoon and found a knife that you sent me marked “Bretton, Sheffield, England.” 😁 It’s not a Lambsfoot, so I’ll just post the stamp here.
