Not really common at all Jack. I got the name from the book - "To Kill A Mockingbird" - Atticus Finch's little girl's name was Scout. I believe the same goes for Barrett's little beauty too.

We are a stones throw away from Nevada in the Owens Valley, California. The mine is in the White Mountains and the border of Nevada runs through the North end.

I love all the old mines in that part of the country.

I'm thinking of taking legal action

Good morning Guardians, it's Monday 11th March, and after 5 weeks of waiting, I finally have a dental appointment! I surely don't mind going to the dentists, but I can't say I'm particularly pleased about seeing my new dentist again. My only hope is that she doesn't mess up TOO badly! Got a few hours before then, but, as always, plenty to do! I hope everyone has a good week

Thanks guys, the dentist was less nervous than previously thankfully. I genuinely suspect it was her first day! The same is true of the dental nurse today, who didn't know how to use anything. I had my crown replaced, and a filling, but the dental neglect of the past year has caused some decay, which could end up costing me a couple of teeth. I'm thinking of taking legal action

I love all the old mines in that part of the country.

This area has decades worth of places to go. Probably because of all the public land. The next place we plan to go is Saline Valley hot springs. It’s worth the wear and tear on your vehicle.

Hi, I missed a week or so (got taken by a fit of barlow fever) and have just now finished catching up on 20+ pages of lamby goodness. A few things I've observed:

1. When Jack Black says "Good morning, Guardians" it's too early and I should still be asleep and when mitch13 says "Afternoon All" I should probably already be in bed!

2. Posting pictures online is a dicey gamble at best. At worst, treacherous, unforgiving, and abusive.

3. It was fortunate that I delayed upgrading to a BF gold membership, as it gave me time to become properly acquainted with image hosting sites before the walls started breaking loose.

4. You fellers have a bunch of really sweet lambs!!!

Anyhow, I'm back. Feels good. I'm supposed to post a picture now, right? ok.

Now, I know that they aren't everyone's cup of tea, but I really like the GEC 88 lambs -- in fact I just used this DIW one to shave my girlfriend

... some chorizo, for a midnight snack! She even commented on how thinly they were sliced! "Almost translucent" was, I believe, how she put it.

Wait a minute, y'all didn't think I actually used the knife to... you know what? never mind...

Anyway, I guess it's a very personal thing, but just looking at the 88 lambs, I'd have thought that those prominently raised blades would have impacted comfort during use. In practice though, I find that, regardless of which blade is being used, the other kinda fits into the creases of my fingers, which serves to help me keep the whole affair properly aligned and aids in tasks such as slicing chorizo quite thinly. Might help with other things too, but not shaving. Definitely not shaving.

In recovery after my first colonoscopy. As far as I’m aware all clear I was still a little out of it when I asked the nurse.



At home now playing with and admiring my nicely patina’d lamb cures all ailments!

LOL! Thanks Paul, I only stayed for an hour or so, but I was glad I called in I think you might be disappointed, Boring Ray is a nice bloke, but REALLY boring! Barry can be boring too, mainly by repeating the same stories, and insisting on telling you every detail of his week, at considerable length. While he is doing this, you not only have to listen to him, but look into his eyes, without interruption, until he has finished some lengthy tale, (which is only a heartbeat from the next one!) He even admonishes Tool Man if he tries to serve a customer while he is recounting a long and boring story! I copped for him yesterday, just as I was trying to take some photos, and he was literally hanging on my arm!

I'll let him know Paul, though I'm not sure that even the Almighty could give him some common sense! Thanks a lot pal

LOL! You need to try some good stuff sometime mate I love beer too, but with wine, I can carry enough home to get drunk!
