Sadly, it's not unusual here, I'm afraid Jer, ever since British High Streets were taken over by large commercial opticiansThat's disappointing/ depressing/ distressing/ outrageous.
My new glasses are working fine. I can read better who's playing on the smaller TVs on the far wall of the bar. And I can read quite small print without a magnifying glass.
I might get in the habit of wearing them again.
These are old ones I keep by the computer.

It is, Steve! What happened was that I had been absentmindedly fiddling with it and noticed that my hands had taken on a light orange tinge. When I realized it was dye still releasing from the bone, I became critically aware that this one had seen nowhere near enough use and have thus committed myself to properly breaking it in. I'm interested to see how much it lightens, if at all, before it levels out.OMJ is getting a nice patina !

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is well, and that you all had a great weekend. It's cold and wet here again in YorkshireMy week should be easier than last week's hopefully
I need to go into town later to see the optician, hoping he can explain why I can't read with the reading specs I just got, whereas I can read fine with an old pair I have from 15 years ago
Going to call in the docs too, and undoubtedly make a visit to Charlie's
Carrying some Ironwood today
Hope your week gets off to a great start Guardians

I was just having a pleasant afternoon when I received delivery of a Lambsfoot laden parcel I posted more than a month ago. It was returned, after being opened and examined, because it supposedly contained items which had the APPEARENCE of dangerous/prohibited items (but clearly weren't)!I'm going to have to explore the courier situation because Royal Mail are absolute clowns!

Thanks Bob, it's got terrible, and there's a raft of new Post Office regulations coming in on May 7th, according to their websiteThanks Jack.
