Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Enjoy your plinking Jack!

Thank you kindly!

That sounds like fun Jack. Great photo composition. 😃

Thank you guys, I always worry that I won't be able to hit the target, when I haven't shot my slingshot for a while, but, certainly indoors, at relatively short distances (25ft), I find that if you stand correctly, and use consistent aiming, accuracy is absolutely consistent, even irrespective of the slingshot used :)

Hello, Guardians. Was off the forum yesterday so I got some catching up to do. Black Charlie lamb has been the lamb of choice for the day.

Making Carne Asada Tacos for the family tonight. If I remember before it gets scarfed down I will snap a pic.

It's extremely elegant isn't it Bob? :) I hope you enjoy your Tacos Paul, they sound delicious 😋 I might have to venture up to my local Mexican soon (the last time I was there, they had to pour me into a taxi)! 🤣 Great pic of your Charlie Lamb buddy :)

Pride of the Yankees and The Natural are way better, Barrett!

I like The Natural, but I think I’d have to put Bull Durham higher on my list. Have to admit that I haven’t seen Pride of the Yankees.

Hope you have a great time :)

Thanks, Jack, I’m really looking forward to it! The only downside is, since we’re flying and I’m only planning on carrying on, I won’t have any knives with me, and unless I happen to come across a Lambsfoot at the show, it might be a Lambsfoot-less weekend! 😲

Do you know Barrett, I've never actually seen that movie  I'd watch it tonight, but my internet signal has been so bad this past week, that I've not been able to stream anything 🤨

Definitely worth a watch if you can find it.

I am sipping on some Ardbeg Wee Beastie right now Pete! 😁

Saw that at Costco a while back for a pretty fair price, how is it?

Imho, I can get some of the best Chinese food delivered to my home of any place in the country! Tonight it’s from China Delight which is just over the hill where I live. Their house spicy fried rice and Peking pork chops 😋.

I’m jealous! We’ve found some ok Chinese places since we moved to MN, but nothing fantastic.

I’ve been around, but not really posting too much so I suppose I should just give a quick update on my Albers Lambfoot. Still a regular part of the rotation, and still a great cutting tool.

Most recently, it’s been handy as I help my boys with their pinewood derby cars.

Here’s their cars with the weights epoxied in place. Both are right at 5oz with the wheels and axle nails so the boys have some sanding to do before painting.

I used to love doing that with my dad. I think my mom has a small box with a few of my cars from when I was kid, I keep meaning to get it from her.

Good looking Albers!

Well, Guardians, I got a new phone over the weekend, and while I’m usually pretty good with technology, taking decent knife pics with this new phone (iPhone 15 Pro Max) compared to my old phone (iPhone 11 Pro Max) has been… frustrating. Most of the pics I took with my old phone were pretty much point and shoot, edit a bit, and that was that. Hasn’t been the case with this new one, for a variety of reasons that I may or may not understand. Anyways, I won’t bore y’all with the details. Hopefully I’ll get it figured out.

I did get a pic of this new Lambsfoot that showed up in the mail today.

I was a bit confused/concerned when I first opened the package, because the box said Tasmanian Blackwood, when I’d ordered a Springbok! Fortunately the correct knife was inside the box.

Took a quick (well, not exactly quick, with all the fidgeting with the new camera) group pic.

It turns out the problem was an Amazon software glitch, had to delete all my cookies, which is always a PITA, but I seem to be (just) OK again :)

That sounds fancy Barrett, do they still do an iPhone 1?! :D Good luck pal ;)

Bonus shot of the Day

Lamb on the Star stump, appropriate for Eclipse day 😉👍

Wow! Absolutely stunning Steve  :)

Think I'm going to do some plinking this evening, been neglecting it lately

Beautiful image Jack. I cut and tied new bands today as well!

I am a huge fan of Corryvreckan and Uigeadail and the WeeBeastie is very very close to them for half the price.

Fantastic image Steve!

Jack
So Where do you do said plinking?
Oh, just indoors Mitch! :D During lock-down, I worked out that I could get a straight shot of 25ft from the front of the wardrobe in one of my bedrooms, and straight through the hall! 🤣 I set up my catch-box there, and I sure did spend a lot of hours plinking! I could hit a match-head at the time, not every time, but not bad :D I use a couple of targets, the biggest being about an inch across, which I can hit in the dark, and the smallest about a quarter inch. Got a load of plastic ammo, which lasts ages
