Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Thanks for the pleasurable audio and video in your link, Dave! Here's a pic of sunrise over the Mediterranean I took when I visited my daughter in Spain almost 4 years ago and she took me to Denia.
Sunrise and Sunsets are natures way of saying Good Morning and Good Night, this was your welcome to Spain in the Morning. :D

That's a fantastic photo, Dave! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:
Thank you, Gary, you are a gentleman and a scholar. :)

:p:thumbsup::thumbsup: So those are not chocolate covered donuts, then?? Subsequent discussion of black pudding has convinced me there ARE foods I will not try!:thumbsdown: (Again, I've been sucked into one of these infernal food discussions!)
Heres to Oatmeal on every man's table.:p

Hope you can find a decent meat pie somewhere, FBC. Here's something I just found online:

(But I'd vowed not to get caught up in the food discussions that appear so often here.)
I forget how intriguing the covers are on those 2017 horn Guardians lambsfoot knives!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Dang it, Gary, I just spent a good 15 min. looking at meat pies! ;):D

LOL! :D Hope your English weather is better than our English weather has been today my friend!  Excellent pic :)

Hope everyone is having a good weekend :) It never stopped raining here all day, and the dark nights are most certainly here now o_O

Morning Guardians, I hope everyone is having a good weekend :) With the rotten weather we have here at the moment, I'm starting to suffer from cabin fever, but I'm hoping to get time to sharpen these two today, which are in my pocket, partly as a reminder  Enjoy your Sunday folks

Halfway through my sharpening. With Greg (@WhittlinAway )'s encouragement, I decided to reprofile my rosewood Big 'Un to 15 DPS.

I blame r8shell r8shell and @radrodmb for this (crisps/potato chips are Worcester sauce - the poor relative of Henderson's Relish - & sun-dried tomato!)! ;) :D

At one time, there are snobbish folks here who would have denied ever having had a crisp sandwich, maybe some of them never had, but I now see them on offer in trendy bars! The town of Keighley is more down to earth: https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/englands-first-crisp-sandwich-shop-6159659 And clearly caters to all tastes!

Crisp sandwiches make even less sense than chip butties. :p The reason you add "crisps" is when you are served a sandwich with ham and cheese on white bread, the whole thing is sort of soft and needs some crunchiness. chips/crisps on bread is just a carbo-load. (full disclosure, I put Cheetos on a soft taco yesterday, and it was excellent, so I am an authority on gourmet food)

I'd like to hear how you like the 15dps on your rosewood big'un. I had to go with a more obtuse micro-bevel on mine, as the edge kept rolling. It's an older production, and the steel is a bit on the softer side, plus a tiny bit of waviness on the edge makes it tricky to sharpen on flat stones. When I have the time, I should get out the sharpmaker and try resetting the bevel entirely. I think I still need to get down to the "good meat"

LOL! :D Greg has made some persuasive arguments in favour of 15 DPS (apart from one, my others are around 20 DPS). He probably uses his knives a lot more than I do these days though, and I'm not entirely sure I'll reap the benefits, if there are any. Along with my ebony Lambsfoot knives, the big rosewood certainly gets used harder than my others, so I thought it was the one to try 15 DPS on (I did re-profile a stag candle-end to 15 DPS a year or so ago, but I didn't do a great job of it). I think some of @Cambertree 's knives are 15 DPS, while I think Greg is experimenting with even more acute angles

Lots of goodies, but no Lambsfoot knives in those I'm afraid Dave ;) Big Red is looking darn good my friend
Thank you, Jack, I really must obtain a regular Rosewood someday as well, the one I do have from a Sheffield dealer is warped like a banana. :p

That is terrible Dave! o_O I'm way overdue a visit to Wright's, but might try to get over this week - need to talk to them about a few things ;)
