Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Maybe a canine companion would help. Not sure I can prove it, but I believe my Chihuahua has been good for my blood pressure.
Great pic Vince 😊 👍
Pets are the best. I’ve always had dogs and cats but have just have a cat now. I think they are a great health benefit. My life is for the better because of them. Here’s the new lambsfoot with an Albers. The Toole has been used a little. Still working sharp but I’m going to re-profile it with my KME for its betterment. And I almost forgot…Happy Friday.

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone had a good week, and arrived at the weekend safe and sound :) For once, the sun is shining here, and it looks like it might actually be a nice day. If it doesn't rain today, it'll be the first day in a long time! I've abandoned my plans for today, and going to take it easy over the weekend, but I might meet up with Wolfie for a coffee, or go for a drive or something. He's on 'standby', as his eldest lad is backpacking for the first time. Just an overnighter, organised by the school, (in conjunction with the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme - a bit like a Scout trip), but these trips are notoriously badly organised. I hope everyone has a great weekend

Enjoy the sunny day, and your Pal 🐑 !
Many thanks Steve, it's been nice to see a bit of sunshine again :)

My pal Wolfie used to live about half a mile away, but he lives on the edge of the city now, so I offered to meet him half way, at a leafy suburb called Oakwood, to which there is a regular bus service. I'd forgotten it was the annual Sikh Vaisakhi parade, which assembles close by, before going into the city centre, and then back to the Sikh Temple. Fortunately, I only caught the tail end of it, and my bus was only delayed for 5 minutes. These are just the ordinary Sikhs at the back of the parade, but at the front, there are rows of bare-footed, sword-wielding Sikh warriors.

About every month, Oakwood hosts what they refer to as a 'Farmers Market'. I didn't see any sign of any farmers, or home-grown fruit and veg, but I did see £5 jars of jam and chutney, and £4 sausage rolls  Sikhs traditionally give away food, both at Vaisakhi, and at other times, but the Sikh couple at Oakwood were strictly 'card only' ;)

I had a brief stroll round the small market, and went to meet Wolfie, who was just arriving. We had a catch-up over coffee, and then he went off to his next chauffeuring job, running his youngest to football practice, or the next one to gymnastics, and I went to do a little shopping. It's a pleasant journey back, and I extended it slightly by catching the bus a couple of stops extra, so I could call in at Charlie's cafe, and read a bit more of my book. After another coffee, I called round at my mate Matt's, and we watched a bit of snooker, and had a chat, before I headed back up the hill home

Good morning Guardians !

It's a cold day here, 35° at the moment 🥶

Sounds a good day. They have farmers market regularly at Newcastle showground, sadly not all stall holders were farmers last time we were there.

Some farmers have started selling online, buy direct delivered to your door, which would be handy for a family.

Same here, the young trendy yuppies are all over " Farmers Markets "   , the closest most of the sellers get to being a farmer, is driving down Farmers Street. Plenty have been found out over the years buying in bulk from supermarkets and repacking and rebranding as Organically Locally Grown with virtually no miles travelled thereby saving the planet as well. People believe what they want to believe. ;)🤠.
