That was quite the adventurous day, Jack! Wee Staggy is looking good!I had an adventure today, without even leaving the house!Having waited in for the mailman, I thought I'd do some pre-vacation ironing, but I quickly discovered my iron wasn't steaming properly. I figured the iron had served a long life, so I decided to buy a new one. I didn't have time to go into town, so I ordered one online. They could have delivered it tomorrow, but I opted for Friday, as I have another package coming then. My Royal Mail package was supposed to be here before 1.30pm, so when it hadn't come by 2.15pm, I checked the tracking, and before my very eyes, the message changed!
No apology, no explanation, but now it's being delivered tomorrow
I had a courier due between 3.15pm and 5.15pm, so there wasn't time to go out. I didn't have much shopping in, but I had a Jamaica Patty in the fridge, so I heated that up in the oven, and figured I'd head out after the courier came. I was just eating the patty, when I received a text from the courier firm, again with no excuse, or explanation, saying that my courier would now be with me between 7.15pm and 8.15pm
It was too late to go to town, but I knew there was a place at Oakwood, where I could get some of the stuff I needed, and I might get time for something to eat. I headed down the road, but it was now Rush Hour, and there wasn't a bus due for half an hour. I had some stuff I wanted to print off in the library nearby, so I went in there, and by a stroke of luck, they were open until 7pm. I sat down at one of the computers, got my library card out to log in, then realised I didn't have my reading specs, and couldn't read the hopelessly small numbers on my card!
I walked back to the bus-stop, but there was just as long to wait, and I was fast losing the will to live. I hadn't been able to buy any bread today, and since I was going to be waiting in tomorrow now too, I needed to think about lunch, as well as breakfast. Unfortunately, the shop there is not very good, and doesn't sell any bread I'd want to eat, or any alternatives, like pikelets or muffins. I went in to see what I could find, and came out with 3 small bananas, 3 West Indian Bulla Cakes, an onion bhaji, and 2 vegetable samosas!
Despite not going out today, I'm worn out!
Lambsfoot content: Since Wee Staggy will be accompanying me to Crete, I thought I'd better check that he's sharp and shiny
Still having trouble with my internet connection, so if it's still like this, when I get back, I'll be getting a new provider![]()

Thank you gentlemen!Great-looking Lamb KenI hope you get some better weather soon
That's a beauty !
That lamb is a well aged gentleman Paul.Last off day before a busy 4 nights at work. Got some more stuff done around the house. Took a cardboard load to the dump. We get multiple packages daily and it builds up quick. My son has a soccer game later and it will be Japanese hibachi for dinner at a really nice place we discovered.
Charlie lamb has been in my pocket often lately. Think it will be rotating with the HHB for the near future.
