Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good Morning Guardians! I hope everyone is going to have a great weekend! I am going to leave work a little early to teach my oldest grandson to ride a bike 🤞 :) And the youngest grandson is doing a sleepover tonight, then we will be taking him to a parade in the morning and a Logging Show! Busy weekend, for sure...
Yesterday I got a package in the mail with 3 knives:D Two of them are Lambs, so I will show them here. All 3 of them are Sheffield knives and both of the Lambs are made by A. Wright.

The one on the left is done in ebony, and it's darker than the picture shows from the bright sunshine this morning:cool:
The Senator is done in Oak, which I really like!

The Senator was called a "Custom" made by Ashley Harrison. I must say that the file work is really nice on this one, and it has the best action of all of them- I can even pinch it open after flushing them last night. It will only get better with use and patina!
What a great parcel of Lambsfoot Knives! well done.

Your time with the Grandsons sounds amazing! We have two - but in Australia and England. so so far away.

That’s a long way to travel!
I remember growing up in Alaska and my grandparents lived in North Dakota. My parents would use a cassette recorder and tape us kids talking to our grandparents, then they would put it in the mail. Long distance calls were very expensive from Alaska back then.
Thank goodness for FaceTime and cell phones now!
But I’m still sorry that they are so far away. Makes for a great vacation, though!!

Very nice
Paul sent me a Harrison Barlow much smoother than standard Wright's 🙂

Hey Jer :)

I missed why you Coated the Horn with Epoxy- was it for the grip purposes?
It had dried out and curled up. I put it in a baggie with wet cotton wool till it straightened out and then brushed on some epoxy finish which didn't sink in as well or as evenly as I'd hoped.

But yeah, it was to improve the grip on that slippery horn!

Thank you very much Jack! I'd like to find some 'Old' ones, but I guess I'll have to work harder on making mine look old myself!
:D
Bonus shot of the day 👍

Great pic Ken :)

Sorry that they're so far away Duncan :( My youngest has been in Australia for the last 3 years. If she's there much longer, I suspect I might have one in Australia myself  ;)
Sweet pic of that special Lamb buddy :)
Violet today.
With buddy real interested 😁

:D
Afternoon all
Works on the essentials. 😂
Nice Mitch! 😋

Good morning Guardians, welcome to the weekend! :D When I was away on holiday, a couple were talking about going up to the Arctic Circle to see the Northern Lights. They looked sceptical when I told them a friend of mine had recently seen them from Northern England  I wish I'd looked out of my bedroom window last night - couple of pics taken by my mate Matt, who lives down the road

The weather looks nice outside, and it's supposed to reach 70 later. After I've had a shave, I'm going to head down to Charlie's. Then I'm meeting Matt, and his lad Cillian in town. Cillian wants to see the new Palanet of the Apes film, but I might drop out at that point! :D Since it's sunny, I thought I'd carry Wee Staggy, and have a Sunny Stag Saturday! :D The pic is from Crete, that's the "Beach"!

The Northern lights were out here as well. I fell asleep too early to catch them 😉

Nice pic of Wee Staggy ! 👍

Good morning Guardians. A bit of a slow start for me this morning but it's nice and sunny and cool outside so I'll be picking up speed quickly and going for my morning stroll. Couldn't see the northern lights last night because we had thunder storms moving through our area. Darn! Got my HHB with me today.
