Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Violet today,
At the shop yesterday, I had a moment not an epiphany or a light bulb moment. More a Jack Black cupboard treasure moment😒🤣
We have a large storage area, when we moved stored some stuff from the house. Well I was having a look and came across a wrapped bundle that I had forgotten about, which had a few walking sticks. Hence Jack cupboard treasure.😁😁
Including this traditional Irish blackthorn, handle is probably Hawthorne.

Always fun to rediscover things ! 👍

Got back from St. Louis today. We mostly took it easy our last couple days there. Thursday evening we took the kids to a movie. I thought this French poster for The Big Lebowski at the theater was pretty awesome.

Yesterday afternoon my brother and I snuck out for a couple hours to have a few beers. I had wanted to go to Schlafly’s Tap Room in downtown St. Louis (an old favorite), so we started there. Pretty cool old building.

I started with their Rye Lager, which was nice (particularly on a hot day). My Katalox Albers was along for the ride again today.

Then we decided to go for a couple flights so we could get in more variety.

After that we headed over to Urban Chestnut Brewing. I’ve had some of their beers before, but this was the first time checking out their brewery/tap room. It’s located right next to the University where my brother works, and his boss joined us for a couple beers.

This was their Maibock.

And their German Pilsner called Stammtisch.

Cool post, that would be right up my alley. Looks like you guys had fun! 👍

I think I might be on the edge of their distribution area, my go to store in Nashville has some of their products in stock. I’ve had their pumpkin beer last fall and it was good. I’ll have to try something else, the oatmeal stout sounds alright.

Very cool Barrett. A St Louis pub crawl! Our mate Jack would be proud.

Enjoy tipping a few back Jack!👌
Thanks a lot Bob, it looks like you guys have been busy, while I've been away! :D
Evening all
Saturday night footy, kick off soon. The Swans are leading the competition 😁

The slingshot flew in from England..I'm finding it quite accurate.

Thanks pal, the main danger yesterday was probably drowning!
Good to see you hear my friend :)
We've got the same weather as you buddy. Nice pic of DamLamb
Sorry to hear that Steve, it sure came down yesterday, and never stopped  I ended up buying two umbrellas, one for me, and one for Wolfie
Good morning Guardians !

Carrying one of my Butler Lambs today 👍

I hope everyone has a nice weekend !
Exquisite Steve :)
Good day Guardians! Hope everyone is having a good start to the weekend. Sunny and warm here. Going out in the yard to clean up the waste from my hedge trimming. Thought I would get my HHB acquainted with my beast of a hedge trimmer.

Hi gang!!! Thought I'd drop in with my "Long Bolster" Lambfoot this morning. The dealer I bought it from called it a Barlow but the bolster is too short to be a true Barlow bolster.

It's a good-looking knife Ed :)
A Candle end according to Jack 👍
That actually refers to the frame Steve :) It's an old Sheffield cutlery term, which Wright's use to distinguish their straight frame from the swayback :)
Hello friends

xOO1BW3.jpg
Nice pic but Jack might not be happy with the non Lambfoot knife in the picture 😉
Just Lambs please :)
Bonus pic of the day comes from the archives since it's been raining all day 😲

Nice shot Steve, such a handsome knife :) I hope you get better weather today my friend :)

LOL! :D Great-looking stick Mitch :)
I'm thinking he may have tipped more than a few back 😁
LOL! :D I only had 3 pints in the end, but slept badly the previous night, and was mid-posting when I fell asleep on the sofa! :D
Beautiful Dwight :)

What a day! Thanks for taking us along Barrett, those are great pics :)

I would have loved to have gone along :)

Good morning Guardians, and Happy Father's Day to all the dads. The rain really disrupted things here yesterday, it came down HEAVY, and just never stopped, people were getting drenched. I still had a nice day, but Wolfie had to leave to pick up one of his kids after a football match was cancelled, Matt had similar issues, and another mate, Johnny, cried off altogether. I still had a few pints, and some good crack. We were going to have food in a pub, but they had a complicated ordering system, via an app, so we gave it a miss. I ended up eating Thai on my own  Sorry for neglecting you all! :D I hope everyone has a great day today :) I have quite a bit of work to do unfortunately, but I have my Pals helping me out ;)

It poured rain over night as well and today it's supposed to be in the 90's with high humidity. There is an excessive heat watch in effect 😲

Hope you slept better last night 👍

Have a good day Jack !

Good morning Guardians !

Cassie and I had a very close call this morning. We were coming back from our walk on the sidewalk behind my townhouse building. Just as we cleared the space between two building I heard a low rumbling crunching sound. I heard a couple of more and then BOOM ! This huge Oak tree came crashing down right behind me. 😲

It managed to miss both buildings and the only damage is a light post. The tree was rotten inside and all the rain we had must have softened the ground enough where is just gave way.

Carrying the glennbad glennbad RamLamb today

I sure hope nothing of value was damaged.
Nice lamb Steve.
