Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Violet & Polly, another find the other day, light & sturdy bamboo shaft. The kids named it years ago😉
You sure have a lot of sticks Mitch! :) I need to get back to making them, it's ben a long time now. I like to sit outside, when I'm making them, but the weather has been so bad, for the past 18 months, I've not wanted to sit in the garden :( Violet is looking good mate
After 16 hours of driving we decided to stop for the night in Dalhart TX. I have already crushed a red enchilada plate, steak Gordita, and a Milanessa torta 😊. As expected I am completely useless now. I’m lounging in a rocker with a Mexican lemonade and watching my boy do cannon balls into the pool. I judge cannon balls purely on splash factor. He has some work to do 😂. My sons reaction in the pool is from me rating his last one a 2/10.

6 more hours and this drive from hell is over. I’ll have the micarta lamb for my whole trip.

We got a lot of rain last night, and yet my basement is dry. A lot of rain- I've never heard of a flood warning in my neighborhood before. We're on a hill with no streams, so it must be our catch-basins were overwhelmed. Or they've redefined "flood" so they can be scarier more often.
Glad toffee and you are above flooding Jer. An event not fun to deal with.

Thanks, guys.
And the flood warning is over before I have to leave the house!
We also have a yellow alert for heat for the week. I really don't get that. I can see they're predicting highs in the 90s all week; why do I need them to tell me separately that it will be hot?

Good morning Guardians! Have plenty of things to do around here today. I’ll probably start with cleaning the AC units. It’s going to be a hot week…gotta make sure they are running as efficiently as possible. But for now, CB and I are going to enjoy the morning. Have a good one!
😎👍

LOL! :D When I was a kid, a new swimming pool opened in Sheffield. The main pool was 30 yards long, which was considered HUGE at the time! :D They also had a diving pool, and one time my dad said he was going to jump off the 'Top Splash'. He set off all brave-looking, but as he climbed the steps to the start of the ladder, he chickened-out, and dived in off one of the spring-boards! 🤣

Blimey, where is all this rain coming from?! I was lucky, I missed a shower in town, and got back home just before the next one came. I have to go out again later though, so I'll see how that goes

No rest for the weary Todd ;) Hope you enjoyed your cigar buddy :)

Kind of you...hope you are not having our heat wave David.
Mid to upper 90's lately. AC sure feels good! 🤠

Looks enjoyable!

Unfortunately not. We've had over 4 inches in the last couple of day and rain in the forecast all week. The rivers and creeks are already very high. I live on high ground so I'm not worried about any flooding but I am worried that more trees might come down since the ground is so saturated.

Good timing Jack !

It's cooled off here as well which is nice after yesterdays close to 90 ° humid weather.
