No lamb in the pocket this evening but the wife and I feel blessed. We got to see a legend in action. Hugo Lloris. 2018 World Cup winner. Keeper for France and for Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs is our team.

The game tonight was Austin FC versus Los Angeles FC. Ended in a 1-1 draw. Austin is 8th in the table. LA is 2nd.

Glad you had a great time Pete I remember seeing Pele play as a kid, it was on a midweek afternoon, but virtually every school boy in Sheffield was there! To manage it, the schools had to issue an amnesty, asking those going to the match to, at least, come to school in the morning!

They used to be real favourites of mine Mitch, they sold them with the free milk when I first started infant school, came in various flavours! They weren't McVities then, and I can't remember the last time I saw Club biscuits, maybe they've been resurrected. By chance, I watched a YT video about the 'war' between different British crisp/chip manufacturers in the 60's, 70's, 80's, and beyond, which was surprisingly interesting! I noticed there was a similar biscuit one, and one specifically about Club biscuits. I might have to check it out!

I got some stuff done yesterday, Wednesday being my weekend now. I got the yard-waste bin out just in time, Roundupped the banks of burrs, deer-repelled my preciouses, and bug-barriered the windows I'll open if it cools off. I'll lay down more bug barrier under the window I've been seeing ticks on. It overlooks a damp, shady nook.

And I dropped by the farm that I haven't been to this year because I was working on Wednesdays. It was like a homecoming. Same old crew, plus a new old guy and a new young woman. The new young woman turned off an irrigation faucet with her bare hands, after the grizzled veterans had agreed we needed some big pliers.
And there's a new Farm Club of four-foot tall children meeting in the farmhouse.
All very nice to see.
