Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Sounds like you had a good time😎

Glad you had a great time Pete  :) I remember seeing Pele play as a kid, it was on a midweek afternoon, but virtually every school boy in Sheffield was there! :D To manage it, the schools had to issue an amnesty, asking those going to the match to, at least, come to school in the morning! πŸ˜€
Wow Jack that is amazing. What a Legend! πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Very smart they just let everyone slide on school that day. 🀣
Glad you had a good time, nice picture of the two of you. 🀠
Thanks John.

Good morning Guardians !

Raining again today and flood warning out again.

I've got Big Rosie in my pocket today πŸ‘

I hope none of your neighbours get flooded Steve :( That's a great shot of Big Rosie :)
Good Morning Guardians
LOL! :D

Thank you Steve, I just got back from town, but have to go out again soon. One of my main reasons for going into town was to post a package to Johnnythefox Johnnythefox , and then I forgot to call in at the post office! πŸ˜–
Jack buddy hope the rest of your day goes well!

I got to see Pele' play in 1976 when he played for the Chicago Cosmos against the Minnesota Kicks in the short lived NASL

Thank you David, I made it to the docs, posted John's package, called in at Charlie's again, as I had a gift for Hisham's new son, had a healthy (but delicious) tea, and then a nap! :D

Wow, that's cool Steve, thanks for the link  I had an uncle who was an agent for British footballers looking to have a second career playing in the USA
Morning Guardians! Hope y'all are having a good day. Happy trails! Big Eb again.

Cool pic of Big Eb David, that's a nice compass

Thanks guys! Weather has been great (hot and sunny), and the cabin even has a nice porch attached to it. Lamb has been earning its keep slicing fudge and caramel apples. 😁

Looks like an excellent porch for sitting back, enjoying a drink and maybe a cigar, and absentmindedly opening a closing a favorite pocket knife.

Jacob's Club! :D I'd forgotten how popular they were, and how heavily advertised! :D I think the most popular flavour was orange, but I always liked mint in a chocolate biscuit. They were an absolute staple of cafes, shops, school canteens, etc. My grandmother bought them, but my mother was always too stingy (she would buy Arrowroot biscuits!), and from the age of about 13, I almost completely stopped eating biscuits and chocolate for many years, which is why I'd almost forgotten about them. There were many other varieties over the years, including a plain chocolate version, called 'Golf' :D Hope you enjoy them Mitch

A fine catch! :D

Wednesday is not a bad idea for a weekend Jer :D Farm sounds like a cool place to hang out :) My kids used to go to milk goats at a farm, after school, for years :)

🀣

Beautiful jigging David :) It's been up in the high 60's here this afternoon ;)

I was thinking the same. Such a wonderful herb, and attractive too :)

Colourful pic Charlie :)

I hope everyone is having a good day :) I didn't sleep well last night, so I was a bit tired this morning, but soon picked up. It's always better when the sun is out in the market, and most of the regulars passed by: Barry the Original Ted, Gravel, Slimline Scott, Harry Hotballs, Captain Birdseye, and a few others. Tool Man actually kept his shirt on, and is still, largely, avoiding cake, but he still wasn't going hungry! He said that his 'sandwich', made from an entire loaf of bread, was the biggest he's ever made! This is a third of it  When Gravel asked what was in it, Tool Man said it was crammed with ham, he had got cheap, as it was going 'ram' ('ram' or 'rammy', meaning smelling pungent, or going off, a word brought over to Yorkshire by the Vikings)! 🀒

It's hard to believe that anyone could beat Tool Man for gluttony, but I reckon the, now, Slimline Scott could have eaten him under the table at one time. I've seen the intellectually-challenged lump eating, most frighteningly at Tool Man's wedding reception, and as long as someone else is paying, he'll keep scooping whatever is on offer, into his oversized mouth, with bulging eyes, and an over-active saliva gland. Having now become a shadow of his former self, he eats less, but has no more self-control, and as soon as he sees food, he is drawn towards it, like a zombie to human flesh, advancing to the point where he's standing on your toes, and drooling on them to boot, his eyes fixated on whatever you're eating. So, it was, when Gravel returned with several portions of mushroom and onion bhajis. While Tool Man ate 90% of them, Scott still had to elbow his way over

This conversation between Boring Ray and Scott must have been mind-numbing! :D At least, they're not boring anyone else ;)

Here's Nobber Al, with his crew :D Tom, the guy on the left, is a cycle courier, and Wolfie was one of his couriers, 20 years ago. His business is almost finished though, and he's retiring next week.

Ex Para Steve has broken his ankle, but getting around OK with one of these modern 'casts' fitted.

This is the diminutive Wee Al, who is actually a really good magician  It's a shame that his website no longer has a single trick video

best free image hosting

Even Droogs need garden shears apparently

I wish I could have got a photo of Hip Hop Boy from the front, he must have been 70! :D Talk about Growing Old Disgracefully! :D

I haven't seen Grandfather Time in a while, but the sun brings people out :D

While snapping him, I also got a pic of Young Tool Man! 🀣

This old feller always has his basket of imitation flowers, but I've never seen him try to sell them, or give one away :D

Top shelf market report, Jack! 😁 I was telling my brother last week about your Thursday market visits. He particularly enjoyed the nicknames. 🀣

Here’s a pic with my HHB from our trip to St. Louis that I forgot to post last week.
