Sounds like a good idea. Wondering how big Tool Mans splatter zone is when he's eating.![]()
Copper Mark is not, despite appearances, a copper (policeman) at all, but some kind of lesser grade, which some folks sometimes refer to as a 'Hobby Bobby'. He loves the role though, and to hear him talk, you'd think he was a member of the Flying Squad, rather than not even having powers of arrest. Since he's not allowed to carry handcuffs, pepper spray, baton, tazer, or any other form of restraint or weapon, he fills every inch of his vest with things like flashlights, hand gel, and innumerable pens![]()
Good morning Guardians !
Got some great news last night at our monthly Townhouse assoc. meeting. The board approved a proposal to hire me as project manager on our next painting cycle of all the buildings on our property next year. It will be done over two summers with 89 units in all plus the community center and pool. I negotiated getting paid a percentage on the overall cost of the job. This is exciting as this will be a first for me although I have experience running large jobs like this as foreman for a painting company. Hopefully this could lead to other jobs as project manager in the future for the assoc. This has been in the works for months and I'm glad to get it finalized. I will sign the contact later today

…but we both agree that they are nowhere near as funny as we thought they were 50 years ago.
I hope you get a good report David
It was a rather confused tale, but from what I understand, he had 'doctored' the valve on a propane cannister, so that the gas came out freely. The subsequent explosion caused the propane to ignite, and the cannister to spin round, so that it caused 4 separate fires, and one of these in turn set the plastic roof of the shed alight. Since he couldn't find a fire extinguisher, and water was merely trickling out of his hosepipe, he managed to stand on the rubber hose of the spinning cannister, and applying all his ample weight, reduce the inferno to a small flame. However, since he had no way to extinguish the flame completely, he had to take his foot off the hose, causing the flame to increase again, and the cannister to return to spinning, go and get the hosepipe, stand on the cannister hose once more, and eventually put out the reduced flame. Tool Man's idea of an 'experiment' would have got his bungalow stormed by a baying mob of peasants, howling for his demise, a few hundred years ago!Did Tool Man give details about the “experiment”?
LOL!I imagine it’s like being in the front row of a Gallagher show when he brings out the Sledge-O-Matic.![]()
Barrett, I would put money on it!Do you think Copper Mark has a large collection of action movies, such as Point Break and Bad Boys II?
![]()
Yeah, me too mateHate when that happens.![]()
I really like their dimensions mateI can’t seem to keep these Albers Lambs out of my pocket for very long.

You'd almost think the authorities might take an interest.it turns out that the fire wasn't caused by an accident, but by a minor explosion, as a result of what Tool Man referred to as an 'experiment'!![]()

Could be dangerous, though, like giving a security guard a dummy gun.
Congrats!

The sciatica was a bit rough today.
Stellar!!A very special day.glennbad did his famous stag on this 93 Charlie lamb. Exactly how I envisioned it would be fit close to the liners and nice and slim cut stag. I think
waynorth would agree that this knife is wonderful. If it would have had original covers on it I would not have dared to change it.
This sucker is going straight into my pocket!!! Thank you, Glenn. Honored to have a knife that two masters had a hand in.

Sounds like great fun Bob, I like your picHow's the plinking going?
I hope everyone is having a good day. It's in the 70's here, but it has been overcast for most of the day. The market was not especially busy, but Tool Man seemed to be doing OK. It was mainly just Tool Man, Ray, Gravel, and me this week, though Barry The Original Ted, and Slimline Scott called in for a while, with Harry Hot Balls and Big Dave calling in briefly. It turns out I have been living under a misapprehension all week, as it is in fact THIS weekend that the Teds go to Skegness! When I asked Tool Man about it the other day, he was so busy telling me the story about his near-death experience, that he didn't bother to correct me!
The tale of Tool Man's latest misadventure was repeated many times though, and it turns out that the fire wasn't caused by an accident, but by a minor explosion, as a result of what Tool Man referred to as an 'experiment'!
Soon after I arrived, the ever-generous Gravel arrived with warm sausage rolls for us all, so after we had eaten them, I went off to get coffee. Tool Man, unasked, insisted he didn't want any cake, but Gravel said he would like some. I suggested I might go to a different stall to the one that I usually go to, but Tool Man became rambunctious at the suggestion. When I returned with the school slab, he of course, ate most of it!And it wasn't long before Gravel was dispatched to buy a large quantity of the mushroom bhajis Tool Man has become fond of. He ate those, and then pulled out a hefty beef sandwich!
Boring Ray managed to get a piece of cake before Tool Man scoffed it all!
Barry The Original Ted (Left) is, once again, interrupted in the middle of one of his extremely long, convoluted, and boring stories!

Verah !niceHappy Market Day. I think the comedy gold this week will come from Boring Ray and some Skegness shenanigans. I’d nominate Tool Man for a Darwin Award but I’m pretty sure the committee must have given him an early lifetime achievement award already.
edit: nice Market Report Jack
