Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Another day on the Royal canal. My Ashley Harrision custom arrived so it accompanied me for the day

Thanks I've just started perch fishing and I was experimenting today with both real and rubber worms and the real worms beat the rubbers 10 to 1 . Thanks I'm very happy with this lamb it's very ergonomic in all types of cutting .I haven't tested the awl yet
It's a long time since I went fishing, but I always enjoyed catching perch, they fight above their weight 🙂 I'm sure the awl will come in handy, and after 50 years of hard use, you might have double awls! 😁👍
Bonus pic of the day 👍

Lovely pic Steve 🙂👍

A week ago the patina on this was almost black, but something or other I've cut with it in the last few days (probably some tomatoes) turned it back to grey. (The dark bit along the edge is much darker in person than it looks in this photo.)

Most of my non-stainless knives are 1095, with a smattering of other steels, but I assume that all my A. Wright knives are C70. 1095 changes around some but seems to eventually settle into a uniform grey, and then just varies a bit over time. On the other hand, the C70 seems to be different all the time. Either way works well - it looks good and keeps the rust away, but it's been interesting to see the variations in different steels.

Tyler, your sweet HHB looks like it has a second life to look forward to.

Violet today,
While out yesterday got some grip tape for my 1 piece aluminum crook cane,
Good idea Mitch :) Violet is looking good

I've had the same thing happen Tyson, albeit less dramatic

Good morning Guardians, I'm still sleeping pretty badly, just can't seem to drop off most nights, then I end up falling asleep in the day, which doesn't help of course  I hope everyone is doing OK, and that your week is going well. Dull start again here, and I'm not too bothered, as I have to stay in for a couple of deliveries. Going out for a pint with Wolfie later :) Carrying my 2018 Guardians Lamb in Horn today, not a knife I've carried frequently, but I came across it last night, and thought it deserved some pocket time

Very nice horn Jack. I know how irritating it can be to lose a good night's sleep. Hopefully, some lolligagging and a nap will help, before meeting Wolfie.

Thanks Jack
Makes it much more practical to use than the foam it came with.
Have a nap while you wait for your deliveres.
Then go enjoy a beer😉
