Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Be interesting to hear other members views, but as i have previously stated mine keeps it's edge really well. Only been to a stone once since i've had it. You did really well with this project my friend. 👌 👌 👌 😍🤠
Of the number of “cutting yards” I’ve put on my old one, I’d also agree it held an edge especially well. Sharpened only once in about a year. I tend to prefer about an 800 grit plus strop sharpening on GECs 1095 steel as it stays sharp-feeling longer in my experience.

I would guess the long cutting edge also plays a part in it. The more edge you have, the less work each section has to do. Plus, many of the cuts I tend to make are with the very point, saving the sharpened edge.

Great idea for storage Barrett. I think Scout could sell alot of them for the store as cute as she is. I lined one like that for tools with waffled foam that comes in a role.

Yes, this is a Cosimo creation of bleached bone.

Thanks, Bob. I was happy that this one came with precut drawer liners that fit each drawer perfectly. I had cut some tool box liner for all 24 the small drawers in the parts cabinet I used before, and I wasn’t keen on doing that again. 😁

Definitely another cool looking Cosimo!

Great idea for knife storage Barrett. And room for boxes, record keeping, cleaning supplies...

I definitely have some extra room for knife-related accessories.

Been carrying my Black Waynorth for a week now!! I broke up a bunch of cardboard, but it's still sharp!! I'm so happy with this knife!! ;)

Great knife, Charlie, and looking even better with that patina.:thumbsup:

I received a lovely surprise, this afternoon, when a delivery, from the English Pewter Company of Sheffield, arrived at my door. Inside the handsome packaging, was a set of 4 beautifully-made, personalised whisky glasses, which were a gift from our generous friend Bob Rufus1949 Rufus1949 :) The English Pewter Company are significant, because they occupy the site of the former Firth-Brown research laboratories, where in 1913, Harry Brearley made the world's first stainless steel :) Many thanks for the thoughtful gift Bob, I shall be christening one of the glasses this evening, by opening a new bottle of Lagavulin 🥃 :)

What a great gift from a great guy! Well done, Bob!:thumbsup: And Jack, you know I approve of the whisky you chose to inaugurate your new glasses. 😁

We had another busy day today (Eleanor’s birthday). I’ll make my usually post marking the occasion in the totin’ thread, but this morning we went out to breakfast at one of her favorite places, and they had an interesting hot sauce I hadn’t tried before. Of course, I had to get a Lambsfoot pic with it… can’t neglect my Guardians of the Condiments duties. 😉 Along with Eleanor’s (non-Lambsfoot) knife, I had an Ebony Wright’s Lambsfoot that I hadn’t carried in a while.

A belated Happy Birthday to Eleanor Barrett, and I hope it was a wonderful day :) I like Marie Sharp's :) There are absolutely loads of Caribbean hot sauces on sale close to me. They're inexpensive, but I suspect they're going to be fiery. I have a couple on standby for when I have space to fit more bottles of hot sauce in the cupboard! :D
Haven’t been on much. They are running me ragged at work. Cosimo #3 in the pocket today.

Sorry to hear this is still going on Paul :( I hope you're managing OK buddy, nice patina on your Cosimo Lamb

Just kidding. 😁

Here’s hoping you get back to those smoke-a-cigar-on-the-clock kind of workdays soon.
:D
Afternoon all

Looking good Mitch, glad you're getting time for coffee and a book :)

Good morning Guardians, summer seems to have gone away again :( We only really had a day and a half of sunshine  The nights are already drawing in again, but I hope we, at least, get a bit more sun. Not sure my blackberries are going to be worth picking this year :( I have a bit of work to do today, but might get out for a bit later, have to see how it goes. All this talk of #93s had me missing my Charlie Lamb :) Have a good day Guardians

Good morning Guardians...or afternoon which ever it may be.:) Of to play 18 - The Open was good inspiration and as it happens I am playing a Scottish links type course today. Will have my HHB with me again today.

Luckily for me, the deer don't seem to like my blueberries.

Enjoy your round Bill. I wish there were more links courses around. I hope your HHB is a good talisman.
