Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

It's been a quiet day on Leeds market, as dull as the weather, and with a number of absentees, not least Boring Ray, who has combined his weekend in Skeggy with the annual family holiday/round of charity shops. It seemed like the Teds had a fairly dull time away too :( In terms of the market, Musical Andy has been away for a month now, and it was only today that I found out from the Perfume Fatties that he had had a nasty fall in the market, something Tool Man had neglected to tell me, and showed his characteristic indifference to  Tool Man is away at Whitby next week, as it's a year since the steam fair, which was abandoned due to bad weather, which means he'll miss Yorkshire Day at the market. Much as I would like to hear the details of Ray's disastrous holiday, I don't think I can cope with him alone, so I'll probably find something else to do next Thursday ;)

Old Brian has bought himself a mobility scooter, and is very proud of it :) He looks much better than the last time he came down.

Slimline Scott was working today, but called down on his lunch hour. He continues to lose weight, but wears the same clothes he wore when he was 60lbs heavier

Otley Mick was on the other end of the conversation. Mick lives in a house, furnished from the 1930's, and always has tales of misadventure to share, such as the time his 1930's period lavatory was destroyed by a WW2 German bomb! This was because Mick, while positioning the unexploded munition in a decorative position, slipped, and sent it crashing through the porcelain! On another occasion, while trying to placate his long-suffering girlfriend with a concession to modern times - a TV - he tripped over the fireside rug, and put his head right through the screen! 😖

Tool Man laughed like a drain! :D

Not many smiles out of this old git, who always reminds me of Gene Janson from The Good Old Boys! :D

The people at the market are very interesting!! Makes my day sometimes, Jack!!

Went to the winery where I asked Dawn to marry me (today's our 14th anniversary) and had some wine and snacks and good times.

When we got home we had a package from our pal Jack Black Jack Black ; I had told him that we had trouble finding Henderson's around here, so he jumped right into action and solved that emergency for us. Thanks from both of us, Jack!
