Thank you kindly! Your GL-24 is true north.

This is a writing job Jack, I'll tell you about it some time

Nice skillet with your Lamb mate :)

It was given to me in 1980, and has never been serviced, gets wound up rarely, but keeps perfect time :) If my Cartier goes a few years without going in for a service, it stops working! I rarely wear either :D

Cool pic  That's really darkened a lot

Or Tool Man! 🀣

Many thanks for that info my friend, and for distinguishing between the US and China-made versions. I had thought they were all made in the Far East today. I was thinking of getting one a few years back. Fortunately, I managed to find a store, which stocked them, rather than mail order. I have rarely seen such a piece of junk, the finish was appalling πŸ˜– Yours is beautiful :)

Great pics Steve, I remember seeing those ropey 'veins' in the wood, and thinking of Stan Shaw's arms! :D :)

'Chonk'! 🀣

Thanks mate, for some reason my internet connection is going downhill even faster than me, so I'll be calling it a day in a minute!

Cool pic :)

Goodnight Guardians ;)

Funny how cheaper watches can sometimes surprise over more expensive ones. Hope your writing gig comes easy!

Your GL-24 is looking fine! For some reason the "shadow" reminds me of Alfred Hitchcock's profile.😍

ETA: Yes sir, the ironwood has darkened a fair bit!

New week, so I have a different lambsfoot assigned to me by my weekly rotation schedule. This week I'll be carrying an oriental Schrade 19OT Landshark that I call LambShark because of its apparently lambsfoot blade. Although the blade shape is familiar, the frame is rather unusual for a knife with lambsfoot blade. Schrade USA never made this model Old Timer, so it's an "invention" introduced since Schrade went overseas.

Yesterday I got Jack package from winning his GAW. Inside was a nice Lamb, two pins and some char cloth. Jeremy sent one of his nice slips as part of the GAW. These will be special to me. The pins and char cloth are super 😎 also. Thank you Jack and Jeremy πŸ‘πŸ€ View attachment 2656790
Very nice David! πŸ‘
Stunning Dwight
Thanks pal.
That's a classy Lamb
Thanks amigo.
I've been on my PC since this morning, and now it's 8pm, and my back is aching, I'm flopped on the sofa with a mug of Yorkshire's finest (or perhaps second finest!) πŸ˜‰ I have an early start in the morning, a trip over to Bradford, and a long day ahead, most likely, and I may not get a chance to check in, but I'll have my Guardians Lamb with me 😊 Hope everyone's week gets off to a good start πŸ‘
You need an assistant Jack. After much consideration I think Toolman would fill that role nicely. I had a job as a corporate head hunter for awhile ... but it didn't work out.... :(
My turn....bonus Pic, just unpacked!😁View attachment 2656845

The Lambshark is a Taylor design that he released under other labels he owned, long before he acquired Schrade. He must have liked the design since he brought it back when he took over the Schrade name. Here's one from 1979 under his Bear Creek brand. There is no country of origin on it. I'm fairly certain these were made in Japan despite the Kingsport, TN tangstamp.

Yes, indeed, the watch I've got on at the moment is a cheap -style Citizen Ecodrive I bought on a plane a few months back 😁 On the other hand, I had the Smiths valued some years ago, and it is was worth more than the Cartier! πŸ˜πŸ‘

I'd end up incarcerated Dwight! πŸ˜‚ I once got head-hunted, but it was a disaster, went from a well-paid, 2 days a week, job as a wine lecturer to an -paid, 6 days a week job, teaching English in France πŸ™„πŸ˜–πŸ‘

Nice to see the comparison, and have the history. I have one of the modern ones, a kind gift from r8shell r8shell . It's an interesting blade-shape, which has been discussed here so many times that it's probably referenced in the Thread Index πŸ‘

Evening guardians, balancing a lamb on a plain wire was no mean feat but it made for a nice little pic against the canola.

Basil the fool found a rotten sheep and rolled in it. Sleep in your bed as you make it I say, unfortunately when jumping a fence the idiot crashed into me, knocking me A over T and leaving me smelling of putrid sheep for the next few hours…thanks Bas πŸ™„
