Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Evening all,
After 6pm Sat here didn't get time to post this morning.
Violet took the picture this morning.

Can't see a new lamb in the near future, picked up our new car late yesterday & have a daughter turning 21 later this month.😁 ill have to talk to Santa.

Very nice Mitch...enjoy!

Went to the billiards (pronounced "Billy-Yards" 🤣) hall with my GF, her 82 year old dad, The Stagnator, and a dude named George - who we'll simply refer to as "George." Realistically, he doesn't play a significant role in the story - so it may not be worth referring to him at all. The end.

Enthralling burl
Many thanks David!
Fodderwing Fodderwing Dwight just gave these an oil and polish, wish i could bottle the smell and send it over to you.

Leon, just as Bob has no sense of "taste", I have no sense of "smell". However just looking at that picture I can remember exactly how the leather would smell. :D👍
Thanks, Jack. We celebrated with dinner at our favorite fast food chicken place. 😁

I LOVE fried pickles. And lambs... and .... uhhh... eggs... I can eat 50 of em.
Cool pic Dwight, that burl is amazing
Gracias pal.

What an extraordinary lamb. Amazing.

...
Going with Cosimo’s work today.

Breathtaking bone on those, Jeremy & Dwight! :thumbsup::thumbsup:😲

I understand that, like antler, both ram's horn, and ewe's horn, is much more stable than cow and buffalo horn :thumbsup:
Thanks for that info, Jack! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Mixed 3 eggs with some pouring cream and some milk, then stirred through some mixed spices and ground black pepper and some nutritional yeast, then as it started to set layered some Gouda cheese on it so it had time to melt. 😋😋😋
Sounds excellent :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:; couldn't ask for more (except maybe some vegetables🤓)!

Another day out with Jack's SFO!

The knife on the left is very classy, but I'm drawn to the simpler one on the right! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Bonus picture of the day 👍

Good wood, Steve! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Thanks fellas! 🍻

Bonus pic. 🙂

Fascinating "grain" on your GL-24, Patrick! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Boil em, mash em, put em in a stew!

3 fine methods, but I usually just nuke em in my old age. 🤓

Did a batch of mushroom ketchup, went a bit heavy on the nutmeg but I’m kinda digging it 🙂

That's a condiment I've never tried (or even heard of before now)! :rolleyes:

...

I'm still packing Berry around the house.

Such a jewel, Jeff! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Nope....to tired to catch up.😁
Hope all are safe and sound.

Very sad about the tragedies coming from the South.🙏

That GL-24 gets my vote, Bob! ;):thumbsup::thumbsup:
My wife always gets a ballot at home for elections now, but I still just walk to the church across the street to vote in person. It's never busy when I go, and it's a much shorter walk than the walk to drop off or mail in my wife's completed ballot.

I’ve been absent recently (busy both at home and work) but just spent some time catching up on the thread. This one’s had a strong presence in my carry rotation lately, such a collision of great influences make it a special knife for me. A maker I appreciate, a pattern I love to carry, interesting cover material, and a group that’s great to be a part of.

I like that vintage 2-bladed Lamb, David! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

...

The market regulars were very impressed with my new Cosimo De Bendetto Lambsfoot :)

...
Glad to hear that your stunning new lamb was well-received at the Asylum market, Jack! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

More good wood! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

I have discovered a DIRECT CORRELATION between this and continuous wardrobe malfunction.

...
That SamDamLamb sure knows how to put out a spread, Dwight! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Hello friends. Just got this TEW lamb back from @glennbad. Unfortunately this old bex gave him fits but as he always does, he made it perfect. The covers are redwood burl. Thank you Glenn.

Happy to report my mother in laws surgery went well. Hopefully we get the news soon that she is 100% cancer free. Thank you everyone for your prayers and well wishes.

On night shift still and got 8 straight days coming up. Got my “new” TEW in the pocket tonight.

Amazing burl on your TEW, Paul! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: (But a low-budget fan like me hates to see the Bexoid go.:rolleyes:)
Thanks for sharing the good news about your mother-in-law's health.

Good looking no-frills lambsfoot, Jack! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:
Probably good that I don't have access to pies like that, since I'd be tempted to eat nothing else.

Good morning Guardians, I'm glad to hear everyone is doing well, as we head towards another weekend :) Paul @Jakeywax31 , I sure hope you get some proper time off soon my friend :thumbsup: It looks like a nice day here, but I have some work I need to do myself this morning, so I shall crack on with that shortly. I thought I'd treat myself to a Double Lambsfoot Day to round off the week :) Have a great day Guardians :thumbsup:

Dynamic Duo, Jack! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Distinguished ebony Guardians Lambsfoot, Jer! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

I thought my new Lambsfoot should have an Italian name - L'Ariete :) I hope Cosimo will approve :) :thumbsup:View attachment 2676781
Cool name, Jack! :cool::thumbsup::cool:
I wonder if you could find a knife to match with each zodiac sign as a name? Some would be quite straightforward, but other signs would demand some creativity to match with an appropriate knife.

Morning Guardians! Have a good one 🤠View attachment 2675434
Good grain, David! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Morning Guardians! Hope y'all have a good day. Happy trails 🤠

I've been carrying Lam Jack this week, and my last post about him showed an episode of horn swelling the first winter I had the knife.
But the horn also suffered that winter (in March of 2018) because I dropped it about 5 feet onto a brick patio behind our house when I was setting up a "photo shoot". :(:eek:
Here are a couple of close-ups of damage to the bone on pivot end and butt end of the knife:

But only cosmetic damage was done. The knife still functioned superbly.

A building character session, combined with a photo shoot, what a multi-tasker you are Gary! Very nice lamb.😍

Congrats on the new vehicle, Mitch! :thumbsup:

Congratulations Barrett !
Yummy 😋 Congratulations on 25 years 👍🤠

Thanks, guys! :thumbsup:

I LOVE fried pickles.

Me too, Dwight. 😁

Figured I’d have a couple drinks tonight to celebrate the Razorbacks upset win over No. 4 ranked Tennessee.

Thanks Jack, we did visited the parents, pick up more meds🙄 & then put out rubbish on the curbside for council pick up.
The excitement never stops mate! :D Sounds like one of my action-packed days ;) :) :thumbsup:
I was inspired to carry one of my lambfoot blades today. This one should get carried more, it's excellent.

LOL! :D Nice pics Will :) My dad once announced he was buying us a snooker table from a bloke at work. He came home with a billiard table, the size of a modern TV, a couple of tiny cues, and the 3 balls needed to play English billiards, a game long out of fashion, even then :rolleyes: :D :thumbsup:
Spectacular Steve :cool: :thumbsup:

Beautiful Dwight :) :thumbsup:
Beni is out, Diego is in.

Interesting thought Gary :D I thought that L'Ariete, Aries - The Ram - sounded authoritative in Italian! :D :thumbsup:
Cool pic of Brian with your shillelagh Mitch :) :thumbsup:
Here’s the basic recipe and history
Looks interesting Jack, by coincidence, there's a slim volume of Romany recipes on my coffee table, with a recipe for mushroom ketchup :thumbsup:

Ouch! I remember that Gary :eek: Still, it probably fared better than bone would have :rolleyes: Did you buff it out? :thumbsup:

Congratulations Barrett, that's a handsome pic :) :thumbsup:

Good morning Guardians, I must confess I'm a bit distracted this morning, as I'm having to work, and short of time. I hope everyone is having a good weekend, and I'll look forward to catching up with you later :thumbsup:
