A dandy Dwight.
Great photo Jack.
Good food, fine music, sounds like a great night out.Julie and I got to see some live music downtown tonight. I’ve been wanting to see Willie Watson play a solo show ever since he left Old Crow Medicine Show and started doing his own thing. We actually had tickets to see him in Phoenix about 7 years ago, but between the time I bought the tickets and the date of the show, we ended up moving to Minnesota and had to miss it.
Anyways, this was the first opportunity since then that I’ve had to see him, and it was a great show! The venue was a jazz club in downtown Minneapolis, which was interesting. We had dinner there before the show started, and a few drinks as well.

My burger, while not particularly exciting to look at, was tasty! Julie got shrimp and grits, which I almost got myself. I did have a couple bites of hers and it was also quite good.

Here’s Willie doing his thing on stage.

Looks like you had a good night out on the town.Stay safe!
I mistyped that initially, and my phone autocorrected it to “Sausage!”
Looks like some good eatin’ there!
Heck, it wasn’t an easy game to watch as an Arkansas fan!Definitely some interesting upsets this weekend!
That’ll be fantastic, Jack! I’m jealous!Y’all don’t get into too much trouble now.
Great pic, Dwight!

I was going to go over to Bradford this evening, and go out for something to eat with a couple of the people I was working with the other week, but I'm suffering with my knees, and feet at the moment, and needed to cry offGot to make sure I can walk around the pubs of York with Duncan

I decided to have bangers and mash for tea, but it was only when I was mashing the potatoes that I realised I'd forgotten to cook the vegetables
So baked beans had to come to the rescue!
Shhhh
You can get away with a few culinary faux-pas's when you live on your own

Just look at that beautiful jigging!!Faux pas or not, I don’t think anyone will mind thanks to your choice in cutlery
Starting to really feel like fall where I’m at, so of course the “dark chestnut jigged bone” was a natural choice.

That's right, R.F. Moseley secretly made the world's first stainless table knives for Harry, though I think it was in 1913, if I remember correctly. The owner, and the firm played a crucial role in the development of stainless steel. Harry Brearley's writings and autobiography make for a fascinating readGreat choice David. I like the beveled edge on scale, too.
Now to look up history of Mosley.
Edit: one article mentioned R.F.Mosley was asked to trial stainless steel in 1914 by metallurgist, Harry Brearly.
Thanks Steve, it wasn't bad! That looks tasty Jack !

It's been over 5 years since I last saw my dear friend, The Legend, DuncanCampbellclanman , so this week is a big one for me, as Duncan, and his missus, Sue, are over in England, for a couple of weeks, and I'll be meeting up with Duncan this week
It was a toss-up between Sheffield and York, and it was heads for York, so later in the week, we'll be meeting up, for a couple of days, in Yorkshire's historic capital
I can't wait!

Here's a pic, from Duncan and Sue's visit to Sheffield, 11 years ago, when we visited Stan Shaw's workshop
