Hope you have a good day!Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is well, and keeping safe. It rained heavily here overnight, and is still raining today. York is always one of the first places here to flood, but the forecast for Thursday and Friday are good. I'm still taking a coat though!I'm excited about seeing Duncan
I have a few bits of work to finish off today, but nothing that'll take up much time, and I need to pick up my prescription from the pharmacy (useless sods have been messing around with it for 3 weeks now). I'm sure there's other stuff to do, but hopefully I can squeeze in a coffee at Charlie's
L'Ariete today, and for the next few days
Have a good one Guardians

First, I am overwhelmed by your warm responses. Thank you.
Second, I'm happy for the response to the contest.
Now... Unclekurty was my official accounting firm, holding the correct answer, adding some official correctness to the contest.
Finally, the under over rule came into play. Barrett guessed 116, but Jeremy, guessed 123. This put him one number closer to the answer of...120.
Congrats to Jeremy, who entered for Chris@321bandaid.
Once I have a mailing address, I will contact Gerstner to send chest.

Hello Guardians. I've been busy the last couple days watching, praying about and getting ready for Hurricane Milton. The entire SW coast of Florida has been hit and hit again and we don't need another one! I'll be bugging out some time tomorrow ahead of landfall and probably not back online until Thursday night at the earliest. Diego has been my good companion of late. Bob, I noticed your magnificent gesture and can only praise you for your good will. I've only had time to skim through the thread, so if I've missed anyone I apologize.

What a generous giveaway Bob. Those Gerstner Chests work great. I opted for the lesser imported small size which have 4 drawers. I bought four. I promised myself once I fill them up I’m done. And I live in a tiny place so I keep just the one with my favorite lambs next to my recliner. The drawers are 4 inches deep. I can fit @ 18 knives in each drawer. I only have a few knives that are too tall. And those longer than 4 inches are placed lengthwise. I live in a forest so evacuating due to a fire happens. These lock and have a handle. I have always liked the larger ones though and you can get a stand with more to drawers to place it on. And I’m glad to have been a “judge”. I feel like Sammy Davis Jr. on Laugh-In. Now that is a dated reference. Great giveaway Bob.

With going over to York tomorrow, I have some stuff to do tonight, and my participation here, on Thursday and Friday, is likely to be limited, so if I don't get a chance to catch up later, I just wanted to let everyone affected by Newton know that I'm thinking of you, and hope you and yours stay safe. Everyone else, please continue having a good week, and don't forget to post some Lambsfoot content![]()

That was the Parade of the Bigwigs on Yorkshire Day in York. Soon after I arrived, I heard some noise, and came upon the scene of local mayors, and assorted other well-to-do types walking towards the Minster. There were loads of press photographers, and keen amateurs, with their tripods, assembled, but I managed to snap a few pics. It was only later, hen I began to edit them, that I realised that many of the Great & Good were looking directly at me, and a few were trying not to cackle. Then I remembered I had been wearing my 'Straight Out Of Yorkshire' T-shirt, which always generates a few laughsI'd volunteer for that, if I could keep my halberd at home.
Welcome to the GuardiansHoly smokes!
My apologies for being late to the party - I had no idea my good dudesbh06 had entered the contest on my behalf! What an epic surprise!!
I do frequent the Guardians thread most days, but usually remain in the background ("Liking this" or "Loving that") getting ideas for my next knife. With that being said, here are a few of mine:
