Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Does anyone have thoughts, opinion or information on “Taylor's Eye Witness Sheffield Premium” Lambsfoot knives? There are a few for sale on AAPK seller pages. The one w Buffalo Horn covers looks pretty nice. Blade shape looks right if not the most aggressive lambsfoot I’ve seen.

Nice to relax occasionally Jack.
Enjoy.
Thanks mate, unfortunately the 'Ping of Doom' (from my phone) is near-constant!
Some much needed rain today.

A beautiful Lamb my friend :) That photo takes me back to the wicker fishing basket I had as a kid, and the condition that resulted from sitting on it in the rain - Basket Bum! 🤣

Please go and have a read at post 1 in this thread Dave. We don't discuss buying and selling here  As for the Premium TEW Lambsfoot knives, they are handmade, by a single maker in Sheffield, and quality has always been reported as good. I have to say, I am also not a great fan of the rounded nose they use

I hope everyone is having a good day. My heart dropped, when I got home to find yet another internet company, digging up the street right opposite my house. Sure enough, my connection is back to being garbage

I had the job of breaking the sad news, about Barry The Original Ted, to the Iranian barbers, who he was pals with. They were dismayed to hear about it, so early in the week. I did point out that I could have just told them Barry had gone to live on a farm with the attractive blonde heir to a Yorkshire brewery

Bummer.😅 Many of the older baskets my father had were real works of art.

My first was given to me by my grandfather, and probably dated to the 1930's. Fortunately, my mother noticed that it was completely rotten, with woodworm, before I sat on it! My skinflint father bought me a replacement as a Christmas present, but then, after I'd carried it to the bank, he always insisted that he sit upon it himself, so I had to sit on the floor. Thanks Dad!

I’ve got clucky hens at the moment, 4 of my 7 hens in fact. So I let them sit some eggs, checked it a couple days back and one was struggling to get out. We’ve been breeding chickens for a few years now and I think I’m good at calling when it’s a lost cause.

They typically peck a hole and work their way around the egg. When they make it back to the original hole they can break out. Sometimes it just pecks a widening hole on one side of the egg, the membrane dries and they can’t break out.

For anyone who hasn’t done an assisted hatching, you can’t simply break open the egg, the blood vessels attached to the inner membrane will rupture and the chick will bleed out (ask me how I know 😬).
It’s time consuming but you need to chip away at the shell, then carefully remove the outer membrane without nicking the inner membrane.
Sometimes it requires a little help then it’ll do the rest. This guy I noticed the evening before struggling so by morning it was running out of energy and the membrane was dry. Eventually I got it out, put it under the hen and a couple days later here it is 🙂🐓

Cool pic 🐑👍🤠
Nice craggy jigging David :)
Thanks buddy 👍 🤠
Good morning Guardians, Wolfie just texted me to say his youngest has a temperature of 38.5. Not sure what that is in real money, but it sounds high. With 3 schoolage kids, their household always seems to be overcome with some bug, flu, or virus. Schoolkids have killed more folks than bubonic plague! Hope it's not that anyway, and that Idris is soon playing football again  The wind has died here, but it's still a miserable start to the day. My plans were to meet Wolfie, but I don't think that'll be happening. I still need to go into town though, so reckon I'll call in at Charlie's, and say Hi to everyone. Hope you all have a good day Guardians

Bid you fair winds and following seas buddy 🐑👍🤠
Wear a mask if you do meet Wolfie!

These are boot-covers. I don't think you can breathe through them.

I got the big star up yesterday, and four wreathes and two electric candle lights. I have a couple wreathes extra, so I'll hang one horizontally from the bat-sock hooks and plug it into the porch light sconce.
Space 🐑 👍 🤠
Some much needed rain today.
