Thanks Bob :) It was a good trip :) The only disappointing thing was seeing that a famous old York pub, which Peregrin Peregrin visited with his son, and where me and Duncan had lunch, has been re-branded . It is now a "party bar" and live music venue, with a mock "Irish" theme, run by an irritating young man, with Dutch heritage :(

Thanks David, I was shopping for someone else my friend :) I have around 30 hats, most of which has been worn once or twice :D I even have 2 spare flat-caps, just in case I should ever lose my favourite! :D :thumbsup:

That’s a damned shame about the pub, such a loss of heritage and history there.

Very sad. I have seen too many fail having followed that recipe. Young people are fickle and move on after the novelty wears off.

We have a caregiver at my favorite bar who's from Brasil. She looked so unhappy to be working so far from home on Christmas Eve, I googled Feliz Natal. The way she lit up made me think I should learn Portuguese.

Anyway, I might want a change of scene after I pull a heist.😁

Thanks guys, it was a shock seeing that the pub name had been changed, but when I looked into it, the news was even worse :( I'm sure both Peregrin Peregrin and Campbellclanman Campbellclanman will be saddened too :(
It’s a tourist trap. The live music is on most of the time but it’s a trashy loud bar now. Not a decent wholesome pub it used to be. I walked in and someone offered me a vodka jelly shot on a tray for £5. He had cabbage stuck in his teeth
