The only disappointing thing was seeing that a famous old York pub, whichPeregrin visited with his son, and where me and Duncan had lunch, has been re-branded . It is now a "party bar" and live music venue, with a mock "Irish" theme, run by an irritating young man, with Dutch heritage

I'm sorry to hear that. The Maltings was one of my son's favorite pubs while studying at The University of York. He took us to the pub when we visited him some years ago. I felt right at home there. Sounds like I wouldn't feel that way now. Thanks guys, it was a shock seeing that the pub name had been changed, but when I looked into it, the news was even worseI'm sure both
Peregrin and Campbellclanman will be saddened too

I have ordered another lambsfoot, this one a large one in ebony. I've enjoyed my lambsfoot blade "Barlow" in ebony so I figure I might enjoy this one more than my rosewood. Maybe I just need an excuse to buy another knife.

LOL!As long as that is the only thing he passes on.
Thanks Jack.
Try doing a search on your posts in this thread MitchThank you gentlemen, the may very well be close to what it originally looked like. There was a specific knife I saw that had the same horizontal jigging but also with the vertical scuffs inside the jigging. I quoted it with a photo of this lamb. I just don’t recall where.
I’m trying to work on recreating the knife with a custom maker and would really like to nut out how it would have looked new.
Sweet
Yikes! I hope it's back on soon Mitch
Nice Ruger PeteI took my nephew to the range for his first experience with a pistol recently. This .22 was the one.
With the upcoming CC lamb release, I’ve decided to carry this ebony example for the rest of the month. It’s such a good knife!

It's very sad Gary, even the fellers at Leeds market were moaning about it todayI'm sorry to hear that. The Maltings was one of my son's favorite pubs while studying at The University of York. I need to buy a book on Catalan, as I am headed to Girona for a few days at the end of March
I hope you get on well with it my friend, nice pairing thereMea Culpa!! I just realized I never formally submitted my application to be a guardian.I guess I am on double secret probation.
A self imposed day of plinking is in order.
Much gratitude is extended to Jack Black, for this fine catty. Fit and finish is on par with a Cosimo lamb. Thank you my friend.

I wish toolman a quick recovery. If all goes well, he should be using a walker the next day. Doctors here, want you on your feet as soon as possible.LOL!It's a wonder Bob, Tool Man is a walking health hazard!

Good afternoon Guardians, I am just back from the market. Next week will be the last time Tool Man will be there for at least 6 weeks, as he is going into hospital for a long-awaited hip operation. Boring Ray's wife had made us a giant sausage roll, of which Tool Man immediately ate half.

Later, when Shirley, brought down some chocolate fingers, the fat lump handed them out like Captain Scott, rationing chocolate on Christmas Day, and shoved the rest down his fat neck by the handful! Before sending Gravel off to buy some bhajis

I think some streaked horn would be appropriate or some nice Ebony.Glad to see Tool Man in top form!!! Can’t wait to meet him one day. I’m gonna attempt to eat everything he eats in one day. Slow work day but this Goldilocks lamb is making it better. I’m a fan of this blade combo. A nice straight edge and a sweet Spey with some belly has proven to be real useful.
After much thought. I’m getting it recovered. Can’t get over the plasticky coat on it. I’m torn on what material to go with. Any thoughts? My first inclination was stag of course but I only hesitate because it’s already a thick puppy. I’m leaning towards nice piece of golden streaked horn.
