Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Had a light dusting of snow last night but nothing major. At work bored out of my mind. Got the KRoo with me today.

Working on taking that gleam off this polished Rodgers and give it a finish that is more conducive with the wear and age of this blade. Kind of getting there.

Calamity!! Scales look good Paul, as if they were coated with mineral oil.

Always a nice photo! 😍

Thanks buddy !

I got my new Charlie lamb foot yesterday.

Couple good ones 🐑🐑👍🤠

Lots of sleet today! Just when I am going to ophthalmologist, to make sure I don't have Marty Feldman eyes.🤓

The GL 24 on some Tasmanian birdseye blackwood.

Always good to see your '18 Jer
Good morning Guardians. Gloomy out today but warming. May get some rain. Going over to a friends house to make some breakfast sausage. I usually make around 12 pounds. Got some seasoning (Leggs #10). Going to be spicy - the way I like it. I also add in around two pounds of bacon to my pork. Mmmmm - good! My HHB in my pocket to help out today.

That sounds delicious Bill, it doesn't seem long since you were talking about making the last batch
Best of luck buddy !

Thanks pal !

Maybe I need to get my eyes tested, at first glance, I thought your Lamb was resting on a sourdough loaf! 😂 Great photo Steve :)
I remember the assurances. It’s a shame things turned out the way they did, but there’s nothing to be done about it now, I suppose. 🫤
I try not to think about it to be honest Barrett, and very much regret ever having anything to do with Wright's  My posts have been far too kind all considered, they are absolute scumbags, and they certainly won't see a penny of my money again :mad
Well at least they got the stag and Rosewood right. To quote Meat Loaf, “two out of three ain’t bad.”😁

Thanks, Jack. That’s an older pic, but I thought it showed off the character of the wood well.
They lied about the stag too, but it's nice to see that pair together my friend

In your line of work, I wouldn't hope for too much excitement buddy! ;) Fabulous K'roo, and your Rodgers is looking better already  :)

I hope everyone is doing OK. I've had kind of an odd day. I'd just got to Charlie's, when some work came through, which meant I had to head back home to take care of it. By the time I got out again, the sun had gone in, and it was cold and dull. I did some shopping in town, and took care of some errands. I decided to have something to eat in town, but then got back home to some more work, which is still ongoing

A pie restaurant with steak knives - understandable considering how tough the pastry is - I thought I might have to use my new Lamb! 😱

Supposed to be 'Cloudy Lemonade' at £4 a glass, rather than sugary, chemical rubbish it actually was 🤨

If that was free it would taste good 😂

That looks delicious. Get some beautiful patina on that thing!!!!

All is good for another year Jack, thank s.
That's good to hear Bob :)

I couldn't it Paul! 😖 What a rotten place, second-rate food, no condiments, mean with the gravy, rotten service, filthy toilets - Pie was £20, and I only discovered later, they had the cheek to add a service charge! I didn't know, because they were too lazy to bring the bill to the table! 🤨

That’s insane pricing! I complained when my local pie shop put up their pie price to $6.70 (~£3.50).

English food never ceases too amuse me

Yeah, it was a shock when I went to pay! I bought a pie from the supermarket yesterday, (nice pies too), for £2.40, and those pies are often on sale at half price

I misread 'amuse' as 'amaze' there Jack! 🤣

Good afternoon, Guardians - I've just got to take a moment to call out Jakeywax31 Jakeywax31 for attempting to spoil me rotten!

When he said he was sending me some pipe tobacco, I imagined a couple of rumpled Ziploc sandwich bags of some bulk stuff and maybe a half-smoked tin or two... I guess I should've known better. 😂

This afternoon, my front steps were adorned with a box of unusual proportions for merely "some tobacco," and, as I cut through the tape (with my lamb, of course), my eyes began to widen and my jaw to drop!

Paul hit me with a treasure trove, nay - the motherlode, of an incredible selection of perfectly premium pipe tobaccos from much-vaunted manufacturers far and wide! If you don't know, and you're certainly forgiven if so, these tobaccos represent some of the most sought after blends in all of tobaccodom! 😮

Primarily my preferred English blends (imagine taking the creamiest, most luxurious bridle leather and smoking it... next to a smoldering campfire) - Paul managed to include some of my all-time favorites (Black House and Plum Pudding) as well as some exciting new-to-me selections that I'm eager to try! 🇬🇧

Paul, thanks for making this pipe smoker's February afternoon feel just like a Christmas morning!

I plan to settle in this evening with a pipe full of one of these fine English blends (I actually have no idea to which I'll go first - I'm certainly spoiled for choice!), a fine English lamb, and thoughts of gratitude for one fine American! Thanks again, Paul!! 😍
