Calamity!! Scales look good Paul, as if they were coated with mineral oil.Had a light dusting of snow last night but nothing major. At work bored out of my mind. Got the KRoo with me today.
Working on taking that gleam off this polished Rodgers and give it a finish that is more conducive with the wear and age of this blade. Kind of getting there.

Calamity will forever be in the rotation!! The bone on this old lamb is very nice. Once I get the bolsters knocked down a little it will be just about right.Calamity!! Scales look good Paul, as if they were coated with mineral oil.

Always good to see your '18 Jer
That sounds delicious Bill, it doesn't seem long since you were talking about making the last batchGood morning Guardians. Gloomy out today but warming. May get some rain. Going over to a friends house to make some breakfast sausage. I usually make around 12 pounds. Got some seasoning (Leggs #10). Going to be spicy - the way I like it. I also add in around two pounds of bacon to my pork. Mmmmm - good! My HHB in my pocket to help out today.

Have a great day buddy !
Great to see you here Cosimo
Good to see you here Jack
Fantastic photo buddy
Maybe I need to get my eyes tested, at first glance, I thought your Lamb was resting on a sourdough loaf!
I try not to think about it to be honest Barrett, and very much regret ever having anything to do with Wright'sI remember the assurances. It’s a shame things turned out the way they did, but there’s nothing to be done about it now, I suppose.![]()
They lied about the stag too, but it's nice to see that pair together my friendWell at least they got the stag and Rosewood right. To quote Meat Loaf, “two out of three ain’t bad.”

Thanks, Jack. That’s an older pic, but I thought it showed off the character of the wood well.![]()
CongratulationsI got my new Charlie lamb foot yesterday.

All is good for another year Jack, thank s.I sure hope you don't end up with Marty Feldman eyes Bob!
If that was free it would taste goodSupposed to be 'Cloudy Lemonade' at £4 a glass, rather than sugary, chemical rubbish it actually was![]()
That looks delicious. Get some beautiful patina on that thing!!!!A pie restaurant with steak knives - understandable considering how tough the pastry is - I thought I might have to use my new Lamb!![]()

I couldn't it Paul! What a rotten place, second-rate food, no condiments, mean with the gravy, rotten service, filthy toilets - Pie was £20, and I only discovered later, they had the cheek to add a service charge! I didn't know, because they were too lazy to bring the bill to the table!
It'll come![]()

I hope everyone is doing OK. I've had kind of an odd day. I'd just got to Charlie's, when some work came through, which meant I had to head back home to take care of it. By the time I got out again, the sun had gone in, and it was cold and dull. I did some shopping in town, and took care of some errands. I decided to have something to eat in town, but then got back home to some more work, which is still ongoing

Yeah, it was a shock when I went to pay! That’s insane pricing! I complained when my local pie shop put up their pie price to $6.70 (~£3.50).
I misread 'amuse' as 'amaze' there Jack!English food never ceases too amuse me
Yeah, it was a shock when I went to pay!I bought a pie from the supermarket yesterday, (nice pies too), for £2.40, and those pies are often on sale at half price
