Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Polar vortex headed this way! Negative temperatures predicted! Gloom! Despair!

In all seriousness I hope everybody stays warm. Its going to be dangerous out there. I've got my kerosene heater fueled up and ready to go. I don't really like using it, especially considering my ongoing respiratory problems, but my current half...um...baked (I was thinking of another term, but got to keep it family friendly ;)) heating system won't keep up in negative temps. I also hope all our fellow Guardians in the Ohio River Valley survived the recent flooding πŸ™πŸ€ž

Another great pic Will :) I once read that needlepoint was popular in US high security prisons, maybe it's just a ruse to get hold of tattoo needles πŸ€”
Thanks, Jack. Much appreciated.

In the time before pogs and beanie babies, I recall a period in which macrame was experiencing a surge in interest and youngsters everywhere could be found braiding lengths of multi-colored string into "friendship bracelets," their forearms adorned in irresponsible amounts of them! Stranger things have happened - though you certainly have a point about the tattoo needles! πŸ˜‚

The most famous athlete that I know, involved with needlepoint, was Rosie Greer.
He was a defensive tackle in the NFL and even authored a needlepoint book.
Fine work like that keeps the fingers nimble!! :)

Black w Beads 1.jpgNostalgic carry today!! (found it cleaning off my desk!) Carrying old Blackie mostly, for 5 years, convinced me once and for all, of the wonder of using a Lambfoot!!

Morning all.
Just checking in.
Got to port macquarie after 6 last night (3 hour travel)
I decided to switch to flash last minute.

View from the balcony, Anglican Church.

Went for a walk along the river. Port is located the mouth of the Hastings River.

Then had dinner at the beachouse pub, looks over the river. Great view to watch the sun go down. Another $1 upgrade to pint. Only a couple with a big feed.

The Church lit up when we got back.

Nice pictures Mitch ! πŸ‘

A cold Presidents Day in Wisconsin. I don’t know what the wind chill is but it feels like -50.

Celebrating my son Eli’s 8th Birthday today. We went to a Mongolian noodle bar and took him shopping. Told him he had $100 to spend on whatever he wanted. Left with a straw hat (supposedly some anime guy wears it), metal bookmark, anime coke, pack of soccer cards, siracha candy, and a lava lamp πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Kids like the most random stuff.

Carrying the Charlie lamb.
