Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I wasn’t fortunate enough to be here at the time the first release came out but my two favourite covers of all time are Ebony and white bone. For the Charlie lambs I think the white bone takes the cake still.

My collection consists of the 2019 and 2024 jigged versions and they are superb knives.

I love this reply Bob, as Jack said- well said. It sounds like you are very much like me- there is so much in each knife - many things come into each different knife for example I have visions of when the knife was passed over to me, or the relationship that started back then to the time now that led the Knife existing in front of me, and then everything about the knife itself on top of all this.
Our friends like Charlie, Jack and Lyle with the SFO's, and our very own Barrett whom I feel is very much a part of the GL, every time I think of my GL, I feel like calling it Elevation - silly, so there is a very personal Human factor in my knives, as it is for many in Traditionals here, which is very clear.

Aesthetically, I love them both, but, the bone and jigging on the FC have a slight edge. I missed out on the release of the originals and was only able to get one through the generosity of a fellow I see at OKCA. He had two and offered to sell me a bone one for a very reasonable price. The fact that I was lucky to get an original, and have been carrying it for getting close to a year now, gives it a slight edge. So, overall, as Bob said, they stand on equal footing.

My main mission is to go to one of the larger pharmacies in town, and see if I can get some dressings. Most of my friends work in healthcare, and I have had so many opinions about my head injury! I bumped into a couple of nurses I know, and they were shocked, like everyone else, and insisted I go to a local healthcare centre to get it looked at, and properly dressed. I caught a taxi there, but it turns out they didn't have a nurse, or anyone who could dress wounds, or even any dressing! Some healthcare centre eh?! :rolleyes: I headed back into town, as per my original mission, and went to one of the larger pharmacies, but they couldn't fill my prescription, so I had to go to another. They didn't have the dressings in stock, but said they could order them in for Monday, which seems to be the best I'm going to get - assuming they turn up! 😖

It took some time for the knife to reach Iceland as it not only had to cross the big pond but also pass through Waynorths French connection ;)
I haven't found much time to enjoy it yet (I've only opened a bag of sweets for the kids with it 🤣 ) but it'll be getting the due pocket time next week and onwards.

I don't know why but I had assumed they'd come without the halfstop. It was a shocker to open it haha.
