Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

My wife and I usually babysit the grandkids at our daughter's home on Friday nights, and we did so yesterday. This used to be our home, and I have taken many a photograph in the backyard at the picnic table for another forum that echoscout, SteveC, and I are members of. I took the opportunity to take one last evening:

While I was there, a certain young man I know petitioned to join the Guardians of the Lamb. I told him that when his grandmother allows me to give him his own pocket knife I will give him a Lamb. Knowing his grandmother, he may be 30 before it happens 🤣

Handsome grandson Adam. I would grin having grandpa's knife too.👍🏻

Yesterday I had a 200 miles roundtrip taking my wife to the cancer center in Bradenton. Just looking for a second opinion after the surgeon who removed her lung tumors thought she got all the cancer. So the wife needs a couple more scans to be certain it hadn't spread, but we're believing all is well. Enjoying some coffee and a bagel this morning with Berry in pocket. Have a great weekend, Guardians!

Hope your wife gets the all clear.
All rhe best to you both.

Looks beautiful Steve :) It was like summer here today, but I've heard it's going down to 'minus 1' in a couple of days - I don't think that's REAL minus 1  ;)

Thanks buddy !

I had healthy food again (forgot I had some breaded chicken in the oven when I took the pic) :D I hope everyone is having a great day

He looks a natural with that lamb in his hands 🙂👍

Great pics buddy !

So, I finally had it with the Twisted Lambs edge. It was just too thick behind the edge and since they butchered the initial grind it just wasn't getting much better no matter what I did. I decided to get out my hand held belt sander. I flipped it over on it's back on my workbench and with a worn out 80 grit belt I carefully started sanding the blade. I dipped in water often to keep it cool. I started with the pile side and it went pretty well so I went ahead and did the mark side. No action shots but after that I used finer and finer wet dry paper to smooth it out. I then gave it a subtle vinegar patina

It's much thinner behind the edge with a subtle convex grind.

My thoughts are with you, hoping for the best mate 👍🏼

I hope the delicious meal was not interrupted by work Jack. The Charlie Lamb should tackle that with ease.
Thanks Bob, it was kind of sandwiched between 2 pieces of work, but that didn't give me indigestion thankfully! :D ;)

That's a nice thing to do Adam :) What a great pic of your grandson, he definitely deserves to be a Guardian :)
That looks like a great meal 👍
Thank you Steve, I've been enjoying some lighter meals lately, and I'm not fighting it! :D I've stopped drinking for Jent* too

Great job, Steve. A Wright is certainly not known for their even blade grinds 😂. As a matter of fact. All of mine are kinda crappy.

Steve, looks great! May I please ship you mine for same treatment?! 🤣 Happy to pay in whiskey, books or beer 🍺

Thanks, it was a bit nerve wracking. I'm don't think I would want to do on someone else's knife.
