Something like that. My neighbor's chicken coop was raided in the wee hours of the morning by three dogs. They took out 20 hens! Colt (said neighbor) dropped one of the hounds but the others escaped in a cloud of white feathers with much testifying into the darkness. Hens are going for as much as $60 each around here! That's a month's wage here in Arkansas...
Any hoo that's as close to rioting as we can get around these parts.
Nice ChristianGood to see you here brother

Could you elaborate on the details of that knife. It looks great.

That is incredible. Kudos all around on that beautiful lamb. The Second Battle of the Chicken Coop!
Thanks Jack. Although I'm a proud Guardian, I have to confess I have a wandering eye. I adore my lambsfoot knives, but enjoy sharp and shinies of all types. That leads me to spending time with blades other than the tapered, straight edged design.
Sure. That lambsfoot knife was made by Kerry Hampton, who trained under Tony Bose. A few years back I askedKnifeHead to make a proper lambsfoot. I sent him an old Sheffield knife to study. This was the result.

Every time I see how well Cosimo jigged that bone it makes me smile.
That is an incredible lamb Jack. It looks ancient! Cosimo is a magician.Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is having a Happy Easter. When I was a boy, Easter Sunday was a big deal, Easter eggs, and marching to church with the Boy's Brigade, rallying in the park with the Scouts, Girl Guides, and other youth groups. Not much of that stuff left, but the Easter eggs are still around at least. Hope you all have a lovely day

... Oh... the humanity!!!...Howdy Guardians!!!
I have missed going on this Thread, but while traveling and relying on Wifi - it's darned hard to get the time.
Well imagine this......
We are all Vikings- having just come back from battle, bought home some Human toys, telling stories of how we sent a few Christians to meet their maker - then Ironside Barrett stands up - his face still smeared with blood glowing from the Fire and cries out the betrayal of a fellow Viking, and that he must be punished - all the Vikings stand up, spilling wine from their Horn drinking vessels and cry out which one, I throw a maiden from my lap knowing it's me.
Ironside Barrett cries out that while passing through the TSA in the longship " skeiðar" I was stopped as I had forgotten to place my beloved Polish Lambsfoot Elevator Micarta that the raiding party had taken during lasts years epic battle. Ironside Barrett had these made for the war party by the local "Smior" - a fine Viking Blacksmith called Eric the Bold.
I knew I had made a grave mistake as Ironside Barrett and Ragnar Punchard looked at me as the TSA were looking at me emptying my Bearskin pouch and there before me in my hand was Eric the Bolds knife!
Fear immediately gripped me at the same time of disbelief that this was not stowed upon the longship bag, this was a tense moment.
I looked at my fellow friends, but they no longer were my friends as they spat on my feet for being lower than our slaves at that point as I tried to explain.
Thankfully the TSA allowed Eric the Bolds Knife to be delivered back to the Village "Hedeby" and so the Knife will return, but my Warrior status stripped from me and I am at the mercy of what was my fellow raiding party members having already lost the Stag Lambsfoot previously.
The wait brings fear, the shame worse.
Glad you had a good time fishingHappy Tuesday morning, Guardians! Rose Burl with my espresso this morning. Spring is in full swing here in Dallas. I got out for some flyfishing yesterday afternoon with friends. We have some lovely local Austin chalk stone streams close in town. Fishing was slow but we did pick up a few dozen green sunfish which is good fun on a lightweight fiberglass rod.

NiceAnother glorious day shift!!!! Back to nights tomorrow. Got the Trevor Ablett in the pocket today. I’m about 95% sure he made this knife so I’m going with it.
I should hate this knife. It has brass bolsters, has plastic scales, and is stainless. Weirdly I like it a lot. It reminds me of an A Wright that is built better. Action is silky smooth with nice snap and pull weight. I bought it thinking I was gonna have Glenn do something cool with it but I think I will keep it original just as Mr Ablett made it. I’m told he made 1000s of knives as a regular cutler for various companies and only started to stamp his name on them later in his Cutler career.

Vintage goodnessGood day Guardians !
Busy day today. I'm project managing the painting project for our Townhouse Association. Painters started today with powerwashing and prep. I spend half my morning running around getting people to shut their windows, even although they've had ample notice that we were starting today.
Albert Oates today

Went out for my first solo drive across the City in about a year to pick up my meds. Made it home safely. Next I’ll be climbing back aboard my BMW R-9. Along the for the drive was this
glennbad beauty that was transformed from a tank into a sports car. Glenn is a very good craftsman and he is a bad man!
