Good morning, and Happy May DayI hope everyone is having a good week. I am work-free so far, but I fear it's going to come in at some point today, which kind of clips my wings a bit. I bumped into Billy The Ted on Saturday, and he mooted the idea of having a few pints today, but if he remembers, it will have to be just one or two for me sadly. Maybe I'll buy him a chip butty instead
The weather is nice, and I'm sure Tool Man will be stripped down to his tea-stained vest by the time I get to the market
Have a good day Guardians

I was just about to leave for the market when I had some work come through, and so it was 12.30pm by the time I eventually made it down there. It's a glorious day here, probably a record-breaking temperature for May, and sure enough, Tool Man was stripped to his vest, having already gorged himself on the generosity of Gravel. Big Dave was also there, and Slimline Scott, along with Boring Ray of course. As usual there were plenty of (even more) bizarre characters passing through the market, including someone wearing a large, furry dog's head, and a tail, despite temperatures in the low 90'sWhile I didn't have my camera, Tool Man had his photo taken by 2 tourists. I don't know where they were from, but they said they had never seen anything like it. I'm unsure if they were talking about the market, or Tool Man!
Boring Ray went to see Barber Brian, who is on holiday next week apparently, and I went to see Our Cake Man, to buy some cans of Dandelion & Burdock. As the regulars began to drift away, I drifted off myself, had a chat with Nobber Al, and Ex-Para Steve, and then left them all to it. I hope everyone else is having a good day

Sweet Lamb Steve
Joan sounds greatI've still got a lot of catching up to do (20-something pages...) but, in the meantime, here's a picture of my 94-year-old (going on 16) neighbor's hands holding my Twisted Assisted lamb. Her name is Joan, and it's her fault I'm bowling with the senior league. Joan worked most of her working life on cruise ships - sometimes as staff, sometimes as a performer. She was a singer, with her preferred style being opera. My mom recalled, as a little girl, hearing Joan's singing throughout the neighborhood. No one had A/C then so the windows were always open. My mom passed a few years ago but Joan keeps on trucking!
Joan has a wicked intellect, unbelievable memory, and a razor tongue - when I asked her for this photo, she remarked on her generosity for not charging me for such "racy" subject matter. She's an inspiration and a legitimate laugh riot.
