Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I'm sitting here considering putting the heater on for the first time this Autumn.
That's my time of year too. I just tolerate summer.
I'm falling off the waggon tonight!
This wine is so delicious, I've probably open it a bit early, but I'm going to enjoy every drop
Cheers mate. I'll be having one myself. 👍
Have a good Weekend Everyone.
You too mate.
better than some of the angst being posted elsewhere on a thread about a yearly event.
Are they still doing that? 😁
I don't think I've looked at a newspaper in years. Nothing but lies and garbage.
The good news is I gotta beautiful Lamb in my pocket

That there is for sure a beautiful lamb amigo.

I think it was Molly Ivins who used to bewail how the newspapers fought for their existence by making themselves more and more inconsequential. Smaller, fluffier...
I don't think I've looked at our formerly local paper for decades. They'd sold out to somebody regional, and one Sunday morning they had a feature about our local music scene in Detroit, a good three hours away; and our local coffee house scene in Milwaukee, more hours away than Detroit, because it's on the other side of Lake Michigan.
[One of my recurring rants, I know.]

Good point Jer. Most of the remaining local rags here are owned by big corporations, and a lot of the content is identical. They're badly written, uninteresting, and packed with adverts. No wonder people baulk at paying to read yesterday's news, particularly when there's very little news in them  Interesting to see a pile side SpaceLamb pic
We have a Newcastle herald newspaper ......although it's printed in Sydney. They closed the Newcastle office and printing press years ago.
Leon is spot on, my Mum still has it delivered and my daughter often tells me she saw it on tick tock.
I still see a few delivered on my walk.
Jack no newspaper boy, even when I was a kid. The newsagent used to drive and throw rolled up newspapers out of his window.
No deliveries here anymore. certainly not where I live anyway. I did it from 11-16, used to have to haul a sack of 70-odd papers, with all the magazines too, and halfway round I'd get another (evenings only). That was six nights a week, and I got paid half a £1 (50p). About 50 US cents these days
I don’t post this enough despite the fact that it gets more use than any of my other lambs. Such a beautiful piece.

Very nice Jack :)
Rant away. ;) ;)🤣🤣🤣🤣. A good rant over here at the Guardians is a lot better than some of the angst being posted elsewhere on a thread about a yearly event.;)🤠

You sure have David :) An Irish friend of mine, many years back, used to occasionally get sent a few copies of his old local paper, The Longford Leader, by his mother. I always remember the front page headline on one copy he showed me, 'Chip Shop Opens in Longford'! 🤣 A quiet town by the sound of it :D
Don't work too hard Jack my friend, like you say it's nice having the work coming in though isn't it!
Thanks mate, I'm hoping to take it easy for a week or two. That outfit offered me a full-time job - They must be joking?! 🤣👍

Good morning Guardians, I need to stop waking up at 4am! 😖 Still, I guess that's what couches are for ;) I have a bunch of stuff to do in the house, but I'm too old to be rushing at it ;) Have a great weekend Guardians, and enjoy carrying your Lambs :)I have my beloved L'Ariete in my pocket, for the third day in a row :D
