Double lamb day today. Dawn and I hosted coffee hour at church this morning - the ashwinearl ashwinearl lamb got pressed into service opening up some packages of chips and charcuterie. (This was an unexpected gift from Generous Bob Rufus1949 Rufus1949 - one of the very best Guardians.)

Now we're relaxing in the garden with dogs and books and beverages. I started an infinity bottle about a year ago and this is my first time tapping it. Since I have tend to have single malt scotches, Irishes, ryes, and bourbons around as candidates to add to this bottle it's an...interesting blend. The nose is all Laphroaig, but the taste is more bourbony.

I know what you mean mate. They won't take them at the bank here anymore, with a regular account, but some supermarkets have a machine that sorts them and pay you out, and charges you a sizeable fee 🙄 I usually come away with about £50 though! 😁

It’s gotten to be the same here. Even when I took all those coins in, which was almost 15 years ago, I had to call several branches of the local/regional bank we used at the time to find one that had a coin counting machine in back, but at least they did it at no charge for account holders. Now I think you pretty much have to roll them yourself before you can take them anywhere. (We also have the supermarket machines, but the fees are practically highway robbery.)

I also put all my change in a jar at the end of the day. With the $1 and $2 dollar coins (loonies and toonies) it can add up to quite a bit.

I’d imagine so. I’m sure we’ll eventually move away from the $1 bill here, but I doubt it’ll be any time soon.

Good day Guardians !

Heading over to my brothers for lunch to celebrate my birthday.

I*XL C. Johnson 🐑 in my pocket. I hope everyone's having a good weekend 👍

Such a pretty knife 🤩

One of my local banks told me they prefer the coins not be in rolls. "Saves us from having to open them to put them in the machine."

Nice find Mitch! 🤣 👍
Another great pic Dwight

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone had a great weekend, and that you're up and ready for another week. I have a bit more work on this week, but hopefully not too much ;) The weather has been unseasonably cool, and a bit wet recently, so I'm hoping that is going to improve. I'm starting my week off with L'Ariete :) Have a good week Guardians
