Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I got rid of this yesterday, too.
RhSXN1F.jpg

I picked it up from the lawn across the street last year, and suddenly remembered that I haven't looked at it since I dragged it into the basement and leaned it against something. Last night the guy who grew up in the house across the street and one to the right picked it up. He thought it looked like a base for one of his wife's sculptures.

I wouldn't have been able to resist dragging that in myself Jer ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘

I don't know what is going on with the Internet here today, but several places I visited, including Charlie's cafe, the bank, and the post office, reported similar issues. Not that we're faring any better with more basic communication. Most of the local post offices have closed over the past 20 years, and now, one of the 2 city centre branches is listed for closure. I was in there today, trying to post a small parcel, and I was waiting 45 minutes! ๐Ÿ™„ The weather is great today, and it's hot for England ๐ŸŒž Inevitably, Tool Man.was stripped to his vest, and the warm weather certainly hasn't killed his appetite! ๐Ÿซฃ

By 10am, when I got there, he had already had 3 sandwiches, some black pudding, a sausage roll, a large custard tart, 2 jam doughnuts, and a large bear-claw (known as an.'elephant's foot' here.) I bought another cake on my way back from the post office, and he had half of that, quickly followed by 2 lamb samosas, and several large portions of mushroom and onion bhajis, supplied by Gravel.

20250710_113021.jpg

Apart from Gravel and Boring Ray, Harry Hotballs and Old Shirley stopped by, and Extremely Violent Carpark Dave came over with 2 large bowls of homemade ginger cake and custard for Tool Man and Boring Ray. I had to leave to take care of some errands, but just before I left Big Dave clocked on. Tool Man seemed to be having a quiet day on the stall, in terms of customers, but with so many folks feeding him, he was very happy ๐Ÿ‘

I had meant to carry Big Rose today, but a last minute trouser change meant I am actually carrying the GL-24 (seen here with a piece of Bakewell tart). Hope everyone is having a good day ๐Ÿ‘

Sorry to hear about all the closings lately Jack, that seems to be the trend everywhere anymore. Looks like a fun time at the market especially for Tool Man. ๐Ÿคฃ

Good morning Guardians !

Thunderstorms rolling through this morning but should pass quickly ๐Ÿ‘

Just reading Tool Manโ€™s food intake this morning has me feeling full. I did just have a Costco hot dog on my shopping trip though. But stillโ€ฆI guess heโ€™s still growing maybe. Thanks for the report. Always amusing.

Yes Pat, even the banks are closing their branches. Tool Man is happy, so long as he's eating! :D

LOL! :D I really don't know where he puts it all Kurt, he's a big lump, but he's not obese  He will have had a fried breakfast before setting off, probably a few other bits and pieces I missed, and it was only midday when I left, so heaven knows what he ate this afternoon. Then he and Mrs Tool Man get a Chinese takeaway in the evening, which I'm sure is substantial, and no doubt supplemented o_O :D
