So generous of you Jack, from experience you would have given them a great day!Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is having a great weekendI had a great day yesterday, but a tiring one
We have been blessed with a good summer, and the weather was fantastic yesterday. I called in at Charlie's for a coffee and avocado on toast, then went into town. I was supposed to be meeting Wolfie for a coffee, but his missus had broken a nail or something, so there was a family emergency
As it turned out, the place we had intended to meet was closed, so I ended up walking a fair distance to another coffee shop. I was some distance from the city centre, down by the river, and after having my coffee, I was walking down a small, obscure cobbled street, when I saw a familiar face coming towards me. It was Rashid, Hisham's brother, but he lives in Sicily! He was with his son, his wife, and some other friends, and it turned out they had come over for a wedding. None of them speaks much English, so I never got to the bottom of why they were walking down that obscure street, but I ended up giving them a full tour of the city. Four hours later, I was tired out, and due to meet a group of other friends for dinner. After checking it was OK with my friends, I invited the Sicilians. The only sticking point was that we were meeting in an Italian restaurant, but they didn't mind, and enjoyed meeting my friends. Despite the warm atmosphere, we separated early, and I headed home to the sofa!
I was thinking what to carry today. Didn't have to think long!![]()
Have a great day Guardians, light housework and lollygaggin' for me!

Thanks Jack, we're getting along fine!
Good luck Bob! I grew up in Illinois and I've been trying to dial in my accent since I moved to TN almost 30 years ago, but my southern born wife just thinks I'm mocking her.![]()
Huh y'all are to far north to be southernersPat, its really tough losing that New Jeerzy sound.
I was never good with those foreign languages.Huh y'all are to far north to be southerners

Oh that's definitely a looker Jack!!Good morning Guardians, how's everyone doing? I hope your week got off to a good start. Is it only Tuesday?I realised this morning that I was halfway through posting yesterday evening, when I got some work in, which took up the rest of the night. Not that I can complain about my workload
Today, I'm going to do some of the things I forgot to do yesterday, if I remember
Got Barrett's GL-24 with me, which a gave a light strop to yesterday, it's kept its edge impressively. Have a great day Guardians

That is a helter skelter kinda day...but not the killer type!Sure is. Thanks, and thanks for having those made.
Strange Days continue at Lowe's. I'm not working today, though it's Tuesday, and I am working tomorrow, though I don't work on Wednesdays. And I'm working on the 31st, though I don't work on Sundays. Since it's a holiday weekend, I can't get the time off, so the soundboard at church will be on its own.
Audrey's on vacation; maybe power has driven Ashley mad.
It's been raining since before I woke up. A good day to stay inside and maple-glaze some rolls.

Nice Jack!I bought a pack of short-coded sausages from the supermarket, and a huge round Pugliese sourdough loaf in the market, so lunch was a 4 sausage doorstep sammich!

Looks like Pam will keep you straight! Thanks. I have to decide what to make and buy some stuff.
Still with Pam, this would make high-protein iron rations.

Filling too, I had to split it over 2 'sessions'!Looks tasty !
Thanks mate, I think it's a software issue. I went to play a CD last night, and the drive was useless, but I suspect its down to a recent Windows update. Apparently, I'm not geared up to run Windows 11 either. Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing, but I certainly should be up to running itSorry to hear it.![]()

Enjoy the chill Jer!I need to go anti-inflammatory.
As for proselytizing, I would go so far as to say that everybody should listen to their own stomach, watch their own conditions, and continue their own research beyond the first thing they want to believe.
