I was down in the park, just after 6pm, with my friends, listening to the music, and drinking my 4th can of beer, when my work came through - a request for 2 urgent press releasesI had them both done by 8pm, but it totally messed up my evening

Good morning Guardians, I hope that everyone is having a lovely weekend. It looks like we are blessed with some good weather here again today, so all the Carnival traders will be pleased. Many of them aren't in regular business, just trying to make some extra cash, and making a considerable investment, which can easily be lost to the capricious British weather. It used to be that local people just sold beer or food over their garden walls, but the city council have been tightening up a lot over the past few years. Now, if you want to set up a stall in the park, it's a £1,000 a day, minimum. Today is the main day, with music in the park, and on the streets, and the Carnival parade, and there'll be tens of thousands of people coming into the area. I usually watch the parade from near Matt's house, which is about 3/4 mile down the road from me. We've both been taking it a bit easier with the booze this year, but I'm sure we'll have a few beers. I hope Wolfie can get over too, as I only got to see him for an hour yesterday. I'm not carrying anything fancy today, too easy to lose things in the parkHave a great day Guardians
