Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

This is really bad news about having to use a VPN to view the site, because they're already talking about adding them to the verboten list here

Are they blocking all image sites ? I'm on another forum and a UK member is reporting the same message for my imgur pictures.

Are they adding knife sites to the verboten list, or VPNs?
It relates to the UK 'Online Safety Act' (I'd post a link, but the results and both confusing, and in some cases political) :( They haven't banned VPNs yet, but it's probable that's next. There's also this 😮
Thanks Steve

I was wondering if we were all talking about the same they.

They'll probably tell us we're being too political pretty soon.

I’m the same way, GT. I’ll eat just about anything you can make with tomatoes, but I don’t want to eat one on its own (nor do I want sliced tomato on my sandwich, burger, etc.).
In my old age, I've finally been able to eliminate my "gag reflex" when I discover a sliced tomato in a bite of a burger.

Enjoying these old pics Gary :):
Thanks, Jack. :)
For many of my knives, all I have is pictures that are now quite old.

I like your math!
I may have mentioned elsewhere that I'm keeping the new diverter in reserve, because the old one still works in a rugged, pioneering way.

Thanks; I used to be a paid professional. 🤓

...

Thanks Gary, I need to take a photo of Boring Ray's slot machine, with the cover in place

You can order them through the Guardians online store ;)

🤣

Thanks buddy :)

My mother used to read a women's magazine called 'The People's Friend', which was even more fogeyish Gary! I believe it is much the same today :D

Thanks again Gary, hope you're having a good day :)
Another slot machine photo would be welcome, Jack.:cool:
I need to visit the Guardians online store more often! 😁
If my calculations are correct (6339 issues, 52 weekly issues per year), The People's Friend was 122 years old in July 1991! 😲

I almost always bring water with me. I have a couple SIGG water bottles that are good for carrying on a walk — they’re aluminum and uninsulated, so very lightweight. But if it’s warm out, I’ll bring a heavier, insulated water bottle with me so I can have cold water. If I happen to find a place to park that’s in the middle of the section of trail I’m walking, I might leave my water in the truck and stop halfway for a drink. Otherwise, I just carry it with me.

You’ve got it exactly right, GT. It’s part of the Hennepin County Library system, which we use a lot and find to be really great. I think there are 40+ libraries, and you can get any book from any of them and have it available at the library closest to you within a couple days. We’ve been to several of the libraries near us, as well as the big main library in Minneapolis.

I definitely prefer 4 miles to 6. 😁 The problem now is that I have an uneven number of miles left (11 miles of trail, 22 miles of walking), so I really need to do another 6-mile day to even things out. Otherwise I’ll have to make an additional trip out to do just a single mile of trail, and I’d rather not (particularly because, the further I get out on the trail, the longer of a drive it is for me to get there).
...
You're wiser than me, Barrett; I should carry my water bottle much more frequently than I do, especially since I have a nylon "pouch" with shoulder strap that makes carrying water quite easy.

The stairs in the main Minneapolis library remind me of some of Escher's works with optical illusion stairs!:cool: https://tenor.com/search/mc-escher-stairs-gifs

With no justification, I've been assuming that your trail was a big loop. Oops! o_O

Thanks kindly Gary. I must have made the gods mad, and a plague has settled upon us.😃

Yes, I do all my cars. It won't hone a knife, but bugs, dirt and tar will not stick.
Thanks for the info, Bob. :)
Is there a "fewer bugs" season in GA?

Valley Jack is a dandy 🐑 😍 👍 🤠
Thanks, David; I agree! :)

Good-looking pics Gary :)
Very nice Gary !
Thanks, Jack and Steve. :)

Thanks Steve, I should have taken a few pics, but it was crowded in the pub. We were struck by how inexpensive Liverpool was compared to Leeds. I had sausage and mash for lunch 😋

We were actually sat at the table in the foreground of this photo! :D

Fine-looking Lamb Steve, hope you've had a good day :) I better get ready for my meeting! :D
The stained glass in that pub is very classy, Jack!:cool::thumbsup:
Is "real ale" related in any way to "real lamb foot"??

Classy Lamb GT 😎👍
Gary I sure like White Shadow the knife and the name. It puts me in mind of the old radio show The Shadow. The Shadow could hypnotically cloud one’s mind. And when Bob showed pictures of White Shadow that is what happened to me. I had an itch in my mind that was only relieved by asking Cosimo to make my Dill Pickle Shadow Lamb. I look forward to seeing many pictures of yours. And what a generous giveaway by Bob.
Thanks for the kind words, Jack and Kurt. :)
Kurt, I saw that you recently posted your Dill Pickle Shadow Lamb, and immediately noticed the similarity to my White Shadow before I read your comment above.:thumbsup::cool:

I think there was also a show about a white high school basketball coach called the White Shadow.

Yeah, I liked that show!:cool::thumbsup:
And much earlier (mid 1950s?), I remember a "serial" called Corky and White Shadow on the Mickey Mouse Clup TV show. Corky was a cowgirl whose dad (played by Buddy Ebsen) was the town sheriff and White Shadow was her white German Shepherd. It left a permanent impression on my 5-year-old mind.

Superb lamb, Bob! :cool::cool::thumbsup:
And my kind of corn maze! 😁

I'm hoping winter brings some relief in the life of "bugs" here.

Thank Gary, the lamb is built like a tank.
I almost got lost in the maze.😂

I squirm when my wife eats a tomato as if it's an apple.😱

That is never fun Jack! I hope you get to add some rest to your day.

Nice AC.👍🏻
Yeah, guess we've all had it at least once 🙄 Thanks buddy, lying on the sofa, with a hot-water bottle pressed to the back of my neck! 😖

It's coming thick and fast Jer! 😣 Rose Beast is coming to me via a server in the Netherlands! 😖

I once knew someone who reckoned they had an actual FEAR of tomatoes! 🙄 He'd find this thread terrifying (well, if he could see the pics)! 🫣
Thanks, Jack. :)

I have well over 3000 pics of Hartshead Barlow! 😁

I'll try to get one Gary 👍 122 is probably close to the mental age of People's Friend readers! 😄 I can remember when my mother was in her late 20's, and she was a bit of an old dear even then!

It's a nice-looking pub isn't it? Many grand old pubs were built with the railways here 🙂 The term 'real ale' is slightly dated now, and dates from the 1970's, when breweries were replacing live hand-pumped cask ale with keg beer served through electric pumps.

It has always outraged me that our masters at every level treat us like retarded criminals, and that my outrage isn't generally shared. Maybe we all think their draconian measures are rightly aimed at other thems.

Yes, though this one is proving massively unpopular here 👍
That doesn't look so bad!
Bit of a waste of tomatoes, but it looks like a lot of fun 😁 I reckon I'm a bit too old for it now though 😆👍

All I really remember about the Mickey Mouse Club is

"M I C- See you real soon!
K E Y- Why, because we like you!
M O U S E..."

And Annette's sweater.

And there were a couple of old guys in mouse ears I found vaguely worrying.
