I hope everyone is having a good FridayI've had one heck of a frustrating one!
When I got to the surgery to give blood, I pointed out that the purpose of taking blood was to assess how I am managing with some new BP medication, prescribed to me more than a fortnight ago. However, due to incompetence at the practice, I only got the medication a few days ago, so I made an appointment for a week today, which even then is a little early
After returning home, I wanted to set up a new mobile phone, but the wifi was down (there must be Bedouin tribesmen who get a better signal). I've been carrying a package round with me all week, which I can only take to one post office, because the other post offices, have staff who read English, but are also too stupid to know their own rules about what can and can't be sent in the post!
The post office is about a mile up the road from me, out of town, but since there's NEVER any signal there, I thought I'd go to Charlie's first, and set my phone up. I ordered some avocado on toast, which was terrible, and it turned out there was no signal there either, and with Hisham away at the Cash & Carry, no interest in fixing it
I needed to buy bread in town anyway, so I headed to the market, but the wi-fi was down in there too, and it was the same in the coffee shop I went to. I gave up on the phone, and caught a bus to the post office, but by the time I got there, it had started raining
In the post office, I discovered that the USA are charging customs charges on inbound packages, to be paid for by the sender
It was raining even more heavily when I came out of the post office, so I thought I'd duck into a supermarket to pick up a few things. Twenty minutes later, it was raining even worse though, so I slid into my local pub for a pint. There was no sign of the rain stopping, so I decided to have something to eat, choosing 'bangers and mash', which turned out to be pretty awful. After another pint, the rain had only got worse, and I learned that there was actually a named storm. I tried ringing for a cab, but there was a 45 minute wait, so I went back to the bus stop, getting soaked on the way. With the disruption, there was a 20 minute wait for the next bus, and while I had started to dry out by the time it came, the half mile walk from the bus-stop to my house, soaked me through!
The pain in my neck has added to the sense of frustration, but at least the wi-fi seems better - I saw the poor engineer crouched in the driving rain, trying to fix it, on the way up the street
I think I have some sofa time coming! Have a good evening Guardians

And perhaps the lifting of the t-shirt to show the gun Paul?. He is a tough negotiator. Tough as in he never trades or sells a good knife. I think the friend card I pulled out swayed him just enough. I’m sure he has nightly nightmares about it.
That poor woman! It cleared up here in Santa Cruz a bit so I’m enjoying the blue sky. Since it’s Friday I went for not one but two Albers. Have a good weekend. And bless Tool Man’s mum because she probably needs it.

Yeah, George Butler definitely employed superior cutlers Steve![]()
That looks delicious MitchI haven't had homemade lasagne since I split up with my Ex! Not that I miss it, what little cooking she did was absolutely terrible!
Me and her daughter, Eve, often laugh about her lasagne, which we would try to bin when her mother's back was turned!
Nice photo
