Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

While I missed my hike, I did at least get some exercise today :) I walked into town, and went to the Royal Armouries

Thanks John, they must have been intimidating! That is the last surviving complete elephant armour in the world. I remember going to see 300 one year on my birthday, I was glad I wasn't the only one in the cinema laughing :D

Sounds like an interesting museum, Jack, and the elephant armor is very cool!

Putting the lambsfoot to work while getting ready for the start of the season.

You can just send that whole box of Thin Mints my way. ;) :D

That's really cool, Jack. Great exhibit.
I learned about the War Elephants in my history classes, then again in the movie "300".

+1. I remember learning of War Elephants when reading about Hannibal. Saw them for the first time in LOTR: The Return of the King. Those were impressive. Not like that puny thing in Jack's pics. ;)

I was going to make a Lord of the Rings joke, but kamagong beat me to it. :D

Yeah, CGI will do that! :D

Or perhaps it's because the ones depicted in LOTR were the now extinct Oliphant, an offshoot species.

You joke, but I've already set aside an entire case of TMs for my personal use. My daughter just informed me that I owe her $60.

LOL! :D

Hahaha... That's great!

Lambsfoot content to keep The Powers happy ;)

Good stuff John :)

Be sure to tip!

Thanks Vince, hoping to have some news of the others soon ;)
While I had the 2019 Guardians Lambsfoot with me today, I thought I'd take the opportunity to get a few pics of the pile side (which I've only photographed indoors before)

I sure hope you do get some good news soon, Jack! You keep teasing us with these great pictures of that fabulous Guardian's Ironwood Lambsfoot. I really do get excited seeing yours, and knowing that it's getting close for the rest of us. Preston

Me too Preston :) I'll email everyone as soon as I have some more info :)

Doesn't even look like the same plant any more. Mine is getting very thick, the bees absolutely love the stuff and I like the way it smells.

That's a nice-sized bush John, and a great Lambsfoot pic :) I used to grow it in pots outside, and also on my windowsill, a great cooking resource to have to hand

Ron and Jack, your ebony Guardians knives are especially enjoyable!:cool::thumbsup:
Thanks Gary! :) Man I have really missed a lot of posts today. That’ll teach me to miss a day again. I did get a new specimen in the mail this weekend that I hope to get some photos of in the morning. It’s an Eyewitness Bigun. It is carbon with steel liners and pins. I’m not sure of the handle material, but it’s man made. It is textured and I almost think it’s Gum Fuddy. I’m not sure but I know someone here will be able to help. All I’ll say is it’s ugly but it’s a well made solid knife! :D
