I bumped into Otley Mick, who was on his way to the bus-station. Nothing strange there, since he is a bus-driver, but he was dressed like a WW2 US Navy sailor (nothing unusual there either!)

It turned out that accident-prone Mick had tripped over a wind-blown road-sign at the weekend, and broken his wrist, so he can't drive for a month. What was he doing with his time off, going on a bus-ride?!
I caught a bus myself, to the top end of town, and went to the bank, then called in the bookshop for a coffee, and a piece of carrot cake

I noticed a book about Teddy Boys marked down from ยฃ25 to ยฃ8, and would have bought it for Tool Man, but know from experience, he'd have something to complain about. Half an hour later, the big galoot rang me, and when I mentioned it, he asked me if I'd see if it was there the next time I was in the book shop. Obviously he couldn't find his way there himself!
