I bumped into Otley Mick, who was on his way to the bus-station. Nothing strange there, since he is a bus-driver, but he was dressed like a WW2 US Navy sailor (nothing unusual there either!)

It turned out that accident-prone Mick had tripped over a wind-blown road-sign at the weekend, and broken his wrist, so he can't drive for a month. What was he doing with his time off, going on a bus-ride?!
I caught a bus myself, to the top end of town, and went to the bank, then called in the bookshop for a coffee, and a piece of carrot cake

I noticed a book about Teddy Boys marked down from Β£25 to Β£8, and would have bought it for Tool Man, but know from experience, he'd have something to complain about. Half an hour later, the big galoot rang me, and when I mentioned it, he asked me if I'd see if it was there the next time I was in the book shop. Obviously he couldn't find his way there himself!
