Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good morning Guardians, you're a chatty bunch today (or yesterday)! :D Reading all the posts has cheered me up a bit, as the news about that new change to the UK knife laws has depressed the heck out of me :( I'm grateful for Frank knarfeng knarfeng for the heads-up, as I haven't heard a thing about it here  Certainly not a good start to the week  Gloomy weather today too, with mist and rain. I hope it gets better for tomorrow, when I have to travel for work again. I have some more work to do at home today, but I also need to go into town for a couple of things, which means an excuse to stop in at Charlie's for a coffee ;) Hope you all have a good day Guardians, and a great week

No offence Kurt, but I prefer the Lambsfoot image! :D ;)

Reckon they were originally a cost-cutting idea Bob, part of a range Rodgers did, which had a name I forget unfortunately

:D👍

"I'm not saying my mother-in-laws a big woman, but she gets her dresses from Rent-A-Tent!"

Same here David, after I learned of some terrible proposal by the UK government, which will destroy my hobby :( Nice photo my friend

Very interesting Gary

Maybe! :D Thanks buddy

I was once passing through the market, unusually, on a Saturday, and they had some kind of 'Goth Fair' going on inside, which certainly had some strange sights, not least a gloomy-looking Boring Ray, who got paid £50 to play some records :D

Well, I'm glad to have put that noble thought in your head Gary ;)

I've long realised that my cultural references are completely lost on younger folks, but as I get older, that only adds to my enjoyment at using them :D

😂

Thank you Gary, purely accidental! :D

😂

They sell the 'twigs' here as All-Bran, and the flakes as Bran Flakes. Not something I eat often, but I definitely prefer the flakes

Thank you :)

Very interesting Leon

Another fine pic David :)

LOL! :D They have that in Charlie's cafe too :D In France, if you want fries on the side, they call it an 'American', but they say it with a French accent, obviously :D ;)

Crazy Uncle Bert sounds like a fascinating character Jer, cool hat

😂

Sounds like good fun Mitch :)

Hope you have a very Happy Birthday this week mate :)

Great-looking Lamb :)
Thanks Jack
Yeah it's an exercise I like.
All Australians enjoy my birthday and they get a holiday, although strangely refer to it Australia day🤣🤣
Mitch's day sounds Mitch better.

Talk about depressing, the other night I came across The Three Stooges on an antenna channel, and they weren't funny!
It was labored and predictable. The modelling-clay fight soon became relentlessly monotonous. And yes, we like to see the proud humbled, but why would anyone, no matter how rich, go into an art school studio in a top hat?

My replacement Grimm's is due tomorrow, but it might be early. They were processing it in our northern metropolis at 2:30 this morning.

Thanks Jack

Good of them to give everyone a day off for your birthday Mitch :D

Sometimes the things you found funny as a 7 year old aren't quite as funny in later life Jer :( I rarely try and pee up the wall anymore! 😂

Wow, sure hope that won't go through!! I wonder if a bunch of emails from Canadians and Americans from Blade Forums would help?
I appreciate the solidarity Dan, but with all the other crazy legislation being passed here recently, I think it can be guaranteed to go through unfortunately :( I don't sell knives, but it will make my large collection effectively worthless, and mean that I won't be able to send or import knives from overseas :(

The sort of thing that makes me want to say something socio-political.

I missed this 1,
Just had a look at the proposal.
Welcome to Australia another proposal that doesn't address the socio-economic reasons behind it. It's not a sak or lambsfoot being used but who cares about honest people 🤬
In Victoria they are trying to ban machetes, Queensland you need photo id to buy a knife over the net. Here i NSW last year introduced legislation for police to stop anyone and search with metal detector wand, supposed to be only "hotspots ". To show the police weren't bias the local news showed them using the wands at the shopping centre, the police even stopped and used the wand on a couple that were on walkers🫣 seriously I'm amazed the amount of rights that have been eroded in my life time.

Oh, I don't think it can be that. Maybe I just got a bad one. Even Carol Burnette had her duds.

My replacement complete Grimm's is five stops away. I also have a skillet coming. 12", whole body tri-ply, good for all cooktops and oven-safe to 600 degrees. 35% off, one day only, special for me, same day delivery if I acted in time. $25. My first of the type. I have a few of the sandwich-bottomed ones.

Still it snows. I finished clearing it about an hour ago, and thank heavens for my snowmobile suit, because it's about 10 degrees out there.
