Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Interesting first hour of my shift. College research student claimed she found an unexploded bomb in one of the training areas. She gave me the coordinates and hauled butt out of there. They were only 750 meters off 🤦🏻. Took me a while to find it. It was the end of a parachute flare 🙃. They marked it with a white pin flag!!!!!! There is a foot of snow on the ground.

Anyway, back in the warmth of the office thawing out. Got my new ebony Charlie lamb with me. Not a safe queen no mo waynorth waynorth .

Ah no! 😖 At least you have that lovely Lambsfoot to warm your hands on! :D Great pic Paul  Unexploded bombs from WW2 used to turn up all the time when I was a kid, sea-mines too. Even today, every few years, there's a story in the papers. When I was a boy, my grandfather once asked me, "Have I ever shown you my bomb?" He had it in the cellar, and I was only a little lad, he went ahead to make sure I'd be able to get down the cellar steps. A minute later, he shouts to my grandmother, "Where's me bomb Elsie?!" She replied, "Oh, I gave it scrap-man ages ago!" People were very casual about munitions in those days! 🫣:D:thumbsup:
I'd like to say it sounds good, but I don't know what any of that stuff is 😵 I think I'd just order a cheeseburger 🍔 :)
Some of it just looks like they invented it that day TBH! Bizarre that it's written in French, but they were still doing that when I was younger, pretentious sods! 🤨
Always welcome! :D

Good morning Guardians, nice to see the warm glow of Bob's new granddaughter being welcomed by the Guardians :) I'm sure the celebrations will continue into today. Hopefully Emma and her mom are resting :) Congratulations once again Bob  It will mean nothing to Tool Man I'm afraid, who doesn't particularly like children, which may well be reciprocated  It's not currently raining here, which after 2 days, may put us in danger of a hose-pipe ban! 😖 Have a good day Guardians, and I'll catch up with you all later

Some really not needed at all rain here Bob! ;) Hope all is well on the home front my friend :) Nice oldie there :)
Glad to hear the weathers cooperating for market day 👍
I had high hopes Steve, but the rain started as I was leaving the house, and it's still falling now over 5 hours later  It's light rain at least
Nice pic Jer :)
Jack, does Wrights have a name for that effervescent green cover material? If so, I've missed it in this thread.
It's made from recycled abandoned trawler nets, known as 'ghost nets', and discarded nylon rope, collected from the ocean by a charity called Ecotriba, who re-mould it, and commissioned the knives. So exclusive to them, rather than Wright's

It's always feast or famine with the weather.🫤
All is well on the home front Jack. Thanks.
Good to hear buddy :) 👍

Hope everyone is having a good day :) Despite the rain, the temperatures have got a bit milder these past couple of days, and after picking up a coffee on the way to the market, I spent about 4 hours with Tool Man. Boring Ray was there, and Golden Gordon and Robert The Badge, and Knobber Al was back for the first time in 6 weeks. Al reckoned his absence was caused by an issue with his van, which sounded like an excuse! Ex-Para Steve was down, as well as Slimline Scott :) The market was busier than I've seen it in a while, and Tool Man seemed to have a better day than he has had recently. The problem though, is that he has very little on his stall, and nothing of any value, so he's only making pennies. He shared a pork pie with Boring Ray, and admired my new Lamb, particularly when I told him I had compared him to Agent Orange! :D The Teds are off to Blackpool this weekend for a big 'Ted Do'. This used to happen in September, but the organisers packed it in last year. This 'Ted Do' was traditionally on the East Coast, but the organisers have taken in the slack, and moved it to Blackpool. I told Tool Man I'd look out for him on TV - 'Crimewatch'! D I may have time for a nap ;)

Thanks for the market report, Jack. Hopefully it will start getting busy again!

This GL-24 is on fire! 🔥 I have the replacement grill thermometer in the background. I was tipped off to a false reading when I was cooking chicken breast that took forever even though the thermometer was reading above 600°F.
