Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Wow Dan, that is quite a contrast, I hope you get some warmer weather soon  Spectacular IXL

Supposed to start warming up tomorrow, seasonal spring weather by the end of the week.

Didn’t Canada get the memo that’s its spring? 🥶😁
Apparently not😁
I don’t think I’ve ever eaten rhubarb, but just by looking at it I can tell it would disappointing as part of a dessert. 🤣
Not at all, mixed with strawberries it makes a very good dessert in pies and crumbles.
I also make a very good rhubarb relish, kind of like a chutney. It is very good on red meat, especially wild game.

Rhubarb is horrendous 🤣🤣. I have nightmares about my Mami’s rhubarb pie 🥧. She was an absolute wonderful cook but my goodness. Probably just a me thing as most of the rest of the family “said” they liked it. I’m just thinking nobody had the heart to tell her. I draw the line at carrot cake 😁.

Looking good David :)
Got the Cosimo with me for my shift. Should be hectic tonight but I’m feeling a little optimistic.

This awesome wallet showed up in the mail yesterday!!! Thanks @sbh06. It’s perfect my friend.

Good luck buddy  The wallet looks amazing  Great pic
Some people can't/couldn't let go. ;)
😂 👍
She did well. I don’t see any college softball scholarships in her future, but she enjoys playing.
Fantastic, that's the main thing :)
I loved all the cask beer at the pubs there. 🍺🙂
I remember! :D :)
That’s the life, Charlie! Shorts weather for me starts around 50°F. 😁
When I was in the Canaries the other year, the only people not wearing shorts were me and the locals

You've missed absolutely nothing Barrett! :D I don't even like the look of the stuff! In fact I don't even like the very IDEA of it! 😂👍
Did he ask write about hobbits? 😁
He would have had to stop playing chess to do that! ;)
I have two Albers lambs (Ringed Gidgee and Curly Katalox) that I always have trouble keeping straight. I’m fairly certain this one is the Ringed Gidgee. Whatever it is, I had it with me today. 😁

Fab-looking Lamb amigo :)

That's good news Dan, I hope the weather sticks to the plan :D They have rhubarb gin over Wakefield way  They'll do just about anything to get rid of the stuff! 😂 Nice Charlie Lamb there buddy :)

Here's a treat for you Dan ;) I don't know how many coffees this young lass has had :D

Doesn't look like she actually ate ANY rhubarb! 😂

Good morning Guardians, not sure what they're putting in that rhubarb gin (not just rhubarb) 🫣 I hope everyone had a great weekend :) I didn't stray far from the sofa yesterday ;) It looks like we're in for another nice day, and I need to go into town, but first I need to get a shave, and make myself presentable :D Hope your week gets off to a good start Guardians :) Mine is starting well, with L'Ariete in my pocket :)

Would be well-deserved, Bob.

👍🏻

The are of having fun early on is getting lost with the young ones.

I only eat strawberry rhubarb pie...delicious if made correctly.
Good looking backyard, Bob.

Mine seem to get mottled with age, so I have a similar problem. Still great carries.

Mine is starting out well. I'm not working today, and my largesse lambsfoot is at my local post office a few blocks away, preparing for delivery.

There isn't a tennis ball in the house, believe it or not, but I found these.
I also found some sticks in my garage that aren't worth saving; into the yard waste bin they go.

Give me young kids just having fun playing baseball on a sandlot ⚾️and a slice of strawberry rhubarb pie🥧 ( made correctly).
Come on summer.🥲
Fantastic pic Bob, and a nice sentiment 🙂👍

Exciting times Jer! 😎 Same here, though I have a treasured baseball btb01 btb01 gave me in.Sheffield. Sadly, it has never been hit with a bat, but I do toss it around from time to time 😉👍

I miss the noise of youngsters outside using their imagination and just having fun.

Too nice to stay in today, even though I had no real purpose in going out 😁 I called in at the cafe, then went into town. It was 10.15am when I arrived there, but everywhere opens later these days 🙄 The Grand Arcade was quite ghostly. It's named after the Grand Theatre next door, and actually by far the least grand of the old Victorian arcades in Leeds. It does have a funny old clock though, where a motley crew of figures parades out on the hour. 😁

I walked up to the bank, and wandered through town, having a toasted teacake and a pot of tea in the bookshop cafe, then picked up a few things I didn't really need. Returning home, I was surprised to see a smart new JCB parked outside my house, and to learn that after more than 60 years, they're finally going to resurface both the road and pavement 🎉 I expect there'll be quite a bit of noise and disuption, but I think my neighbours will be pleased to finally see the improvement 👍

Nice to just roam aimlessly on a nice day Jack. A mental refresh is always good.
Nice capture of L'Ariete.

Wow, that's special my friend 😎 There are always kids playing out where I live, and it's a nice sound to hear 🙂 The couple next door have 12 kids, maybe more, but they're very quiet when they're not playing out, I never hear them in the winter. They're getting older now, as are all the other kids on my street, and soon it'll be more like what it was when I first lived here, and I shall miss the sound of their laughter 🙁👍

Sorry, couldn't wait.
LOL! We must have been looking at that video at the same time Jer! 😁👍

Here's one of the other arcade clocks, with an even stranger assortment of characters 😁

I grew up eating rhubarb and quite like it. When I was little we would dip a stalk in some sugar and eat it raw. My mother would make stewed rhubarb and we would put it on top of plain ice cream. I also love a good strawberry rhubarb pie.

Lovely burl buddy 👍

Also a fitting pursuit for a pipe-smoker. 🧐😁

(Not sure how I missed the typo in my question, should’ve been “also” not “ask.”) 🙄

Thanks Jack.

Very cool, Bob. I used to regularly attend college baseball games when I was in school (free student admission) and I have several balls from those games. Most are just from batting practice, but I think one or two were foul balls. I took this pic several years ago for Ron Half/Stop Half/Stop (I miss that guy!).
